The hotel is quite old and has never been renovated since then. Although there are large rooms, but these are exclusively furnished with decommodated and so-called defective furniture. The closet was closed with a rolled-up plastic bag and the keys to the cabinets were broken. The electricity is life-threatening, as some sockets and the dryer in the bathroom fall off the wall and so the power line is open. The smoke detector was also covered with a plastic bag. One night I found a dead bug in the bathroom. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave and kitchenette, which allows you to eat more food. The soup you can eat, whether it's worth storing food or not, there's an open supply of electricity. Unfortunately, there's nothing you can buy for this hotel, which is not worth 3 euros or even a cup of coffee.

Very crowded, uncleaned and unsafe rooms at an overpriced price

It is a small hotel, 12 rooms only. To me, this hotel is a typical bed and breakfast place, but with a good touch of style. It is privately owned and maintained. The reception is not attended constantly morning to night, so it often takes quite a while to wait for the receptionist to come to spot. A contact phone (mobile) number is there on the door to give a call to the receptionist and there are a few nice benches in the frontyard to have a seat and wait till he comes up.
The rooms (suites) are "roomy", with good and always clean bathrooms.

A light European breakfast is served to guests in the mornings from the Hotel lobby. It begins rather late, 8:00 am, which should be considered if you plan to travel a lot over the day.

I would say that this hotel is a good fit to honeymooners or close friends who like to better explore particular locations rather than cover long distances making stopovers.
And this particular location has something to offer. The nearby area is known as Die Mainmuendung, or the mouth of River Main. It represents a park belt good for recreation including wining and dining: there are a few nice restaurants / cafes.

A lovely cosy place

The Mainz Old Town is about 25 minutes' walk away. The Mainz Old Town is about 25 minutes' walk away. Unfortunately, in Mainz Castle you can't expect much from attractive gastronomy etc. Unfortunately, as there is almost nothing available, so you always have to get to the Old Town or Neustadt on the other side of the Rhine (also belongs to Wiesbaden). Free parking spaces are available around the hotel.

The receptionist couldn't say a word, and the room was dirty. Since it's not in a good condition, the price per room is expensive. Breakfast was fine. I would never stay here again, and I can't recommend it.

Very bad

Location: central location in Mainz-Kastel / is located directly on Main Street Rooms: the rooms are from the 1970s / the bathroom is renovated Cleanliness: the rooms are clean noise levels: the rooms at the back are very quiet / you hear the train line at night reception: friendly service: friendly and hard-working breakfast: spartan but good parking: free Wi-Fi: free and very ok (phone goes by WhatsApp)

For the price, I would have expected something better! The shower was leaky, so half the bathroom was flooded. The bathroom was also flooded with insects and spiders. But the worst thing was that the mattresses smelled terrible! I've never slept in a bed so cold! Furthermore, the court tax was charged twice even though I was alone and stayed only one night.

Dirty and overpriced!

Various areas were not cleaned...Our floor in the room was very visible dirty and has been glued by the bathroom hygiene I want to say nothing about it very desirable... Except the shower is leaking.Our towels were dirty or stale. Our bed sheets had strange yellow stains and the refrigerator and microwave were not cleaned nor food residues were due to mold... unfortunately no stars...Everything was not even changed or cleaned out of the garbage emptied it was said I came back in 10 minutes. But we never came back. Unfortunately we have to leave the hotel at our expense, which is not sensible for ME!

Low-end hotel located along a busy street. Not soundproofed. Wakes up at 5am because of the constant knocking of doors. 200 TV channels including 100 with commercials for porn sites.

Once, casuffit

This hotel is classified as a bed and breakfast, which in a way it is.  It's privately owned and maintained, has a limited number of rooms (only 12, 4 per floor).  A light European breakfast is served to guests in the mornings from the Hotel lobby.  Several rooms are equipped for extended stay.

If you're looking for a hotel after an intercontinental flight or travelling with family perhaps this Hotel is not for you.  If you are looking for an immersion experience into German culture this may be a better fit.

I found the guests to be mainly blue collar workers caught away from home and looking for a room.  Nevertheless,  the atmosphere remains quiet.

The rooms are tastefully decorated  - no two are alike - with some equipped with a mini-fridge and microwave. 

Parking is at no cost in an adjacent gravel lot.

Biggest issue was with obtaining consistent  room cleaning service.
