An exceptional place to stay. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and the beds are so easy to fall asleep in. The pub downstairs is first class; the food is quite good, and the atmosphere is happy and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again.

A great choice for Cardiff!

Booked here as it’s close to the sports centre in sophia gardens, my son had a pistol shooting competition so needed to stay somewhere the night before as we had an early start. The hotel is clean and the rooms are modern and spacious, we had food in the restaurant and it was reasonably priced and tasty. The staff here are so nice they couldn’t do enough for us, they allowed us to leave our cars in the hotel car park all day even after check out, saving us a fortune on having to pay to park at the venue, we will definitely book here again as in Cardiff quite a bit.

Brilliant hotel lovely staff

Great food in a great friendly place. My girlfriend & I together with 2 friends went for food at The Beverly on Cathedral Road, Cardiff.
This is the 2nd time in 2 weeks that we have been there which highlights how good the food is.
Tonight we all had the mega mixed grill and my goodness it is terrific.  It comprises of an 8oz rump steak cooked to one's specification (medium rare for me), a 7oz gammon, a chicken fillet, which was approx 7oz and two pork&leek sausages.
I highly recommend this dish.

Great food at a great price

Stayed with a friend overnight in room 18 (family room) whilst visiting for a gig in Bute Park.
We actually felt that every member of staff we dealt with went above and beyond to help us. From keeping our bags safe for when we arrived early and placing them in our room to giving us a free drink when we overpaid by mistake for breakfast ones. Loved how friendly everyone was. 
Easy walk to Cardiff Centre which was really handy. 
Just be warned that room 18 can get very hot in the warm weather, fan provided which helped a bit.
The bathroom was really lovely & the teabags are Twinings so everything a girl needs!

Friendly, clean, comfortable & close to town. What more could you need?

We were given a big room with a good sized bathroom. Everything was clean and the bed was moderately comfortable. Our 2nd floor room was above the bar. The noise level in our room was OK, though we could still feel the bass from the music below when we went to sleep. Our rate included breakfast, which was good, plentiful and varied (lots of choices). Our dinner one night at the restaurant was OK - not great, not bad. The location is good with several restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. The castle and town were an easy (flat) walk away

Good hotel, good location

Absolutely amazing hotel with fantastic staff. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was amazing especially the breakfast.  Chelsea was a credit to the hotel. The room was immaculate and clean and the location was perfect.

Little gem

The staff are brilliant - very friendly, very helpful from the lady who took my booking and checked me in to the person who found something I had left in my room and took it to the desk. I would stay here again, simply because of them.

The room, although "cosy", was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, particularly the bed.  Likewise the bathroom - compact but spotlessly clean and functional.

The restaurant is part of the pub on the ground floor, serving pub food - nothing exceptional, but the prawn starter and the beef & ale pie that I had were nicely prepared and tasty. They serve a great breakfast, cooked to order and brought to the table - so much better than the self-service breakfast that so many hotels do today. 

If I have to stay overnight in Cardiff again, this would be my first choice.

Very clean, great staff, great location

Clean room but small, good facilities bathroom good standard and also very clean but a lack of sleep would not recommend  to Families or older people that go to sleep at 11pm as its over a Pub 1AM until i got some sleep. great location for walk to city centre or castle.

Noisy over a pub

A very comfortable, clean room, comfortable bed and excellent customer service from the staff was overshadowed by 2 poor nights sleep due to constant noise from an extractor fan coming from the pub. It's a real shame about this noise as it's the second time I've stayed at the Beverley and despite a different room I didn't sleep well due to another extractor fan going all night. If you're not easily disturbed by noise, then this is a great place to stay.

We had a really lovely stay here, the room was spotless! Clean, cosy and had everything we needed. When we checked in the pub below was very busy as the grand National was on, however our room was directly above the pub and we didn’t hear any noise at all! The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was great!
I’m quite a paranoid parent with little ones and locks when we stay away but we were happy about the security and the door had a high chain on so the little ones couldn’t open it by themselves.

Would definitely recommend and will return, Thank you!
