We were travelling Poland in a group of three, Gdansk was our first stop, JustHostel our first place to stay. Initial thoughts; our room (private dorm with three beds), kitchen and common area was very clean and were serviced daily. There are vending machines stocked with snacks, drinks and instant noodles should you get peckish during the night. There is a Lidl store some 10 minutes from the hostel on the way back from town, great for a beer / snack stop on the way back. Facilities were of a good standard, clean bathrooms and toilets, hot showers with good water pressure. Friendly and helpful staff.

They have a beautiful garden and sitting area out back, including a fire pit and a wood shed which we took full advantage of (for a 30 zloty fee, which wasn't sign posted anywhere, the receptionist came running out telling us to put the fire out, we thought this was a bit shady, but whatever, we paid her 30 zlotys and she left us alone). We used the fire pit until about 23:45 when the receptionist came back out and (politely) threatened to call the police if we didn't put it out, which killed our vibe a bit as we were being quiet and respectful, enjoying a few beers by the fire. I appreciate there are noise curfews in hostels but she really rained on our parade there - not cool.

Location; a little off the beaten track, yes, but not that far out of the way. In truth, once we got our bearings (Google Maps) we realised we could walk into old town in about 20 minutes, which for three strapping young lads like us, wasn't a problem! If you're driving I believe parking is free and they have a big car park. There are busses that run into town, the bus stop is a 2 minute walk from the hostel or you can get an Uber for less than 10 zlotys. 

Overall we didn't have any trouble and we considered it a good stay, the pros out weight the cons as you'll see below, but I think next time I go to Gdansk I'd look for something more central, perhaps 4Friends Hostel which is on the riverside, bang in the middle of Old Town. That looked really nice!

Location not bad, but not ideal.
Fire Pit / Garden - If you read this JustHostel staff, don't tell people to put the fire out (which they have paid to use) if they're being quiet, you've had your 30 zlotys, go back inside! If it's the law then fair enough but in that location who is going to know really?

Cheap and cheerful hostel with good facilities - 20 minute walk from the centre!

The hostel was okay that means you get what you paid for. The staff was very kind and the kitchen is very suitable for cooking. All in all it was a nice place but it's very difficult to come there with public trafic.... it took us a lot of time... 

Far away from everything ^^

Avoid due to location in rural area, old furniture, thin linen which gives you delusion is not clean, cold/extremely hot water in shower cabin, flood after shower and strange size toilet cabin. Not recommended.

Avoid

Justhostel is a hostel under the Western European average. We knew that you get what you paid for, but the shared WC wasn't always clean, the walls were too thin and you could listen to people speak in the corridor, if the russian guests speaking loud until late were shut for once. 
We did not rest properly in this place, so consider somewhere else. And Justhostel is very far from the city center. The positive point is that the ladies we very kind on attending us. But this place needs quite a change to become a good hostel.

Headsomewhere else

There is free wifi, parking place, but it's all good things. 

Absolutely no soundproofing - very noisy from other guests, we could not sleep half the night. Uncomfortable beds. There are no blackout curtains. Uncomfortable bathroom.

We don't like it

We came in the summer for three nights, picked a budget hostel, for the photo everything was very decent, and in fact it was sad! The bedding is not even called a bedding, some sheets are not quite the size, there is no curtain on the windows! Although the mansion in which the hostel is located suggests a balcony that combines several rooms. Our neighbors on the balcony were young guys who were drinking drinks and smoking... and we were three women and two children in the room... we had to put a simple window. I already said that from the fridge in the common kitchen some food was stolen.

It's very average.

I spent one night here, but I wouldn't do it again. The hostel is really far outside in a Danziger Voort. If you don't want to walk, you have to take the bus number 178 from the train station, which takes you through a street full of holes through the not very pretty suburb, about 25 minutes. The surroundings of the hostel have fallen down and everything else is not inviting. The office is in the dark basement, there are about 20 extra bedrooms and on each of the two floors a bathroom, which reminds me of a shower in the barracks. I got a triple-bedroom for myself and this is also clean, but I felt quite uncomfortable there. I also had to leave a reservation almost exclusively in the early morning, but I didn't want to go to the front of the hostel, and I didn't expect anything to happen to me.
