Old house renovated with a lot of taste, and love! A crazy seal with its stone courtyard and well-integrated swimming pool. Romantic frame. Comfortable bed and large bathroom with all the attention (toilet products, handkerchiefs, water, teaspoons). Very cozy lunch with very good bread. Family home and very pleasant additionally. In short, no false grade and very good quality/price ratio. We landed here a little by chance during a professional stay and getting out of standardised hotels is good. We feel the pleasure of being well received in French!

It's an exceptional place.

A spacious, traditional cognac house in the city centre with a neat decoration. All designed for comfort and convenience. A quiet night in the city centre, a nice breakfast in a large dining room. A safe value to recommend for a cognac tour.

A friendly welcome and a pleasant room.

We stayed there for 1 night visiting the Cognac region. The lady is a fantastic host and the accommodation is central and has a lot of charm. She also provided us with great directions and the breakfast was to die for!

I would definitely recommend it!

Fantastic B&B

We were very well received by Madame Gaudin, decorated house with a lot of taste, located in the center of the old cognac you can forget your car during your stay everything is nearby, screwless garden screw, with swimming pool to cool down Breakfast is excellent and very cozy I recommend you this address, we will return with great pleasure!

The perfect stay

Ideally located because in the heart of Cognac. Adorable guest house with its very large room with atypical decoration but good taste, its sublime bathroom. The reception is really nice and we feel good right away.

It's a wonderful place.

We booked this place well in advance, fortunately - as we were unaware of the annual Blues Festival, and were not disappointed.
For a quiet area of the town, this is a huge house and all the rooms are spacious. You are literally minutes from everywhere in town and there is also parking nearby and a pool in the garden.
The bedroom we had, was huge, as was the bathroom, but bizarrely the shower was tiny and anyone over 5'10 may struggle!
That said, the rooms have everything you need and we will definitely stay again.
Our host was really helpful and provided great local knowledge and a really decent breakfast.
This really is a great place to stay.

Mrs Gaudin is unpleasant from start to finish, unwarm, and a liar from scratch - I strongly discourage you; we will never set foot in this establishment again!

Acceptance beneath everything

What a lovely, lovely place Maison Gaudin is. We were in room 3 overlooking the pool/courtyard and it was just beautiful. The family who run this B&B are charming. It’s located perfectly within Cognac old town. Some great little places to eat a stones throw away and the river and Cognac houses all within a short walk. 

The house is old, chic, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed 3 relaxing days there although most guests seemed to be overnight travelers passing through Cognac. That’s a bit of a shame as Cognac is charming in its own right. 

Just beautiful

We stayed for several nights in this B&B situated in the quiet old town. Our room was spacious and the bathroom was huge (with a tiny shower). We had every comfort in the room including tea/coffee making equipment and a “proper” table and easy chairs. There is a charming courtyard with a swimming pool for relaxing in good weather – surprising for a town house. Breakfasts were excellent with home-made jams, freshly squeezed orange juice and good coffee. Garage parking is available at a moderate cost near the premises.

Beautiful house in the old town

Staying here was an absolute joy.  The accommodation was first class and the host could not do enough to ensure we had a pleasant stay.  The property is centrally and very conveniently located near the town centre and major sights.  We were treated to an excellent breakfast in lovely surroundings.
