1/2 a block from 5th ave in the heart of the city this hotel is feet away from Rockefeller Plaza, St Patrick’s Cathedral and Radio City Music Hall. Location was prime for “pole position” for the Imfamous NY St Patrick’s Day Parade. Close to everything, clean and comfortable room and friendly staff made our stay memorable. I would recommend to anyone visiting NYC.

St Patrick’s Day delight!

I loved this hotel. Yes, the room was small but it was comfortable. The wifi was excellent and the ammenities were simply great. The staff were friendly and professional and made every effort to make our trip a success. Located across the street from Rockefeller Centre and Radio City Music Hall, it was a lively area. We visited during St Patrick's Day festivities and it was fun. The police outside the hotel kept things under control. They were friendly and deserve a lot of thanks for keeping things safe for everyone. The hotel is close to shopping, Times Square and the subway which makes things easy. I highly recommend this hotel

Perfect Location

Enjoyed a recent 3 night stay. All staff I encountered - front desk agents, Terrace Lounge and bellman - were pleasant and helpful. I had a quiet room on the 22nd floor. Comfortable bed. The water stations were a nice perk. Enjoyed relaxing in the Terrace Lounge with good wine and self serve bar snacks. Common areas are well maintained. Housekeeping staff does need to deep clean once in awhile. Room had dusty vents, filthy glass in wall hangings and stainless steel sink vanity was in need of being wiped down. 

Lovely, comfortable stay

Having appointments at Rockefeller Center, this hotel was ideally located.  Like many small hotels today, this is mostly a do-it-yourself experience.  You check yourself in with a kiosk and absent some specific need, you may never actually speak with any staff during your stay.  We rang for extra towels once and the person who delivered them (quickly) was our lone human contact in four days.

Rooms are of average size for NYC and while perhaps a bit worn, are well appointed and comfortable.  Sheets and towels are mid-grade, which is to be expected at this price point.  The room seemed clean and well ordered.  The thermostat was hard to modulate and the room was much too warm for us, so we chose to shut it off and open the window.  Others might not have found this a good option and certainly if it had been raining, we'd have needed to find another solution.  TV does not include any premium cable.  Our room had a view of the ice rink and St. Patrick's Cathedral.

Upon further inspection, two items in the room jumped out at me.  The bathroom vent obviously had not been cleaned in -- perhaps -- years.  I realize that this is not something that is cleaned with each guest, but it needs to be done in a standard rotation.  This obviously isn't the case here.  The photo hanging on the bathroom wall as decoration similarly hadn't been cleaned and was covered in splotches God-knows-what. See photos.

On our second morning, we chose to eat breakfast on the balcony in the restaurant.  It was a great location and the ceiling warmers made the cool spring morning comfortable.  We chose to order from the menu rather than the buffet and our food arrived quickly and was quite good.  However, from that point forward, this experience went downhill.  Staff disappeared and we had a devil of a time getting more coffee, the check delivered, the check picked up, and finally the check returned.  From arrival at the restaurant to needing a refill on coffee after our breakfast arrived probably was about 25 minutes.  From that point until we finally had our credit card returned after the check was paid was probably another hour (or more).  And most of that was spent trying to flag down waitstaff that had seemingly gone to ground.

After that experience, I’d not wanted to go back.  However, the next morning I awoke much earlier than my wife, so I returned and had breakfast again and read.  This experience was better in terms of follow-up service.  Not perhaps perfect, but much better.

On the plus side for the hotel is that they offer do-it-yourself bottled water on each floor.  There is a machine with capped bottles that can be quickly filled with filtered water to use throughout your stay.  This is easy, environmentally-friendly, and all-around brilliant.  I hope that other hotels adopt this!

I’ll note one other strange occurrence regarding our stay.  When we arrived, we had a hold placed on our credit card larger than our expected bill to cover the room and possible incidentals.  This is standard practice and the hold is then removed once the final bill is paid.  Unfortunately, this didn’t happen here.  We currently have the actual charge on our credit card, plus the original hold.  On a call to the card company, I was told that they could do nothing on their end and should call the hotel.  A call to the hotel provided me the information that the hold was released and that I should call the credit card company.  You see where this is going.  This situation isn’t make-or-break for us and the hold will drop in 30 days regardless, but it could be a very big deal for others and is annoying regardless.  The problem might very well be on the bank’s end, but I’ve never had this happen before in decades of travel and years with this same card company.  FYI.

Ultimately, we had a nice stay.  As I said, for our purposes, the location couldn’t have been better.  The room was comfortable and absent two quite-disgusting lapses in cleaning, seemed tidy.  We had one good and one bad experience at the restaurant.  I’m not honestly sure whether we’d stay there again and because I can’t obviously say “yes,” I probably wouldn’t recommend it to others.  That first breakfast and those two cleaning lapses give me pause.

Great Location For Average Room

My daughter and I just got back from a fun trip to NY. We stayed in Club Quarters opposite Rockefeller for 3 nights. I can not say enough good things about this place. We stayed in a small queen room and it was plenty big enough for the two of us. It was so quiet I never heard noises from the street during the night. The location is awesome just a few minute walk to Time Square and right across the street from Rockefeller. Very close to subway access also which was super nice. The staff were awesome check in and check out each took less than 2 minutes. We arrived 4 hours early and they had a room available and for a small fee we were able to go ahead and check in, which was great since we had been up 24 hours. On check out the gentleman working the front desk helped me in getting transportation back to the airport. All the front staff we had contact with were so helpful. I had searched for weeks looking for a room and since I had never been to New York I was not sure what to look for. I can honestly say this place is perfect in every area. We did not eat at The Terrace, the restaurant at the hotel but I did go down in the morning and get coffee and the lady who helped me was super friendly and the coffee and tea were free for guests. Would definitely return to this place when we go back to New York. 

Wonderful Experience 

This hotel is truly a hidden gem! The location is absolutely perfect, very central. You're about a 3 minute walk from Rockefeller Center, a 5 minute walk to St. Patrick's Cathedral, and about a 10 minute walk from Central Park. The hotel itself is kind of small, but the amenities are huge! Wine everyday at 5:00, a beautiful view from the terrace, linen closets on every floor so you don't have to wait for someone to bring that extra towel, and my favorite part...they have their own filtered water systems on every floor! You pick a water bottle, fill it up, and you're on your way! Perfect addition to take for your day in the city..it really comes in handy. Our trip was made extra special and amazing thanks to Sandy from Guest Services. She is the absolutely sweetest! She made sure to make our mother-daughter weekend trip a memorable one and truly went above and beyond! Sandy definitely put a smile on our faces and helped make our trip one that we will always remember. Thank you Sandy for all that you did for us! :)
Bottom line, this hotel did not disappoint! I look forward to staying here again in the future!

Excellent hidden gem!

There is extremely loud construction going on outside of this hotel.  This made it impossible for me to sleep.  I called the front desk at 12:30AM and asked them when the construction was going to stop.  They said they didn't know what I was referring to.  I had someone come up to my room and he verified that the construction was ongoing and loud.  I don't expect to be lied to by the front desk.  Yes, I understand the outside construction is not your problem.  Answer my question honestly and do what you can, if anything, to make my stay better.  Hell, get some earplugs at the Duane Reade and offer them to guests!  Don't pretend that jackhammers aren't tearing something up right outside your building at 1AM.  Very upset to be lied to and given such little consideration.

Disappointed in Front Desk

I wanted to be a tourist in my own city and I got this room on Travelzoo for about $100. The room was small with a Queen Bed but just right for my husband and I. The location is great!! It's right off of 5th Ave with lots of shopping. Across the street from Radio city Music Hall, walking distance to Times Square and many eateries such as Virgil BBQ & my husband's fav place Carmine's. Unfortunately we did not get to take advantage of the amenities the hotel had to offer but I would definitely recommend this hotel and will even visit again.

Quaint room but awesome location

Enjoyed our stay.  The only complaint and it is more on the parking garage but got the discounted parking rate of $35.  We saw a show so did not pick up car until 5:30...three hours past the 24 hour period.  The cost was $90.  So an additional $65 for three hours.  

Great room and awesome location

My wife  and I stayed here for two nights . We had an experience close to alot of places on fifth avenue shopping . Very close to shopping places and your seconds away from the ROCKEFELLER CENTER Great opportunity . Wonderful people especially Latina
