The best hotel in Santiago de Cuba !!! , workers  are very friendly and helpful!!!, especially Pedro ( he was amazing 10/10) 
Super clean hotel , great music , my family love it, especially the pool area .
We really enjoy our vacation there, we will back soon .

Best hotel In Santiago de Cuba 🇨🇺

It’s a great hotel. Beautiful rooms, lobby, and garden. The food was good. Sometimes, water wasn’t available, but that was understandable given the conditions of Cuba. I’m not a swimming pool person, but it looked nice. The buffet was closed sometimes in the evening because there were less than 30 people in the hotel. But the Italian restaurant downstairs was an acceptable alternative. Especially the kind and helpful staff made it an unforgettable experience.

Good hotel, great people

Very clean rooms, beautiful swimming pool and lovely, friendly and helpful staff. The food offer is also very good considering this is Cuba and shortages of different things are common. We stayed on the 10th floor in "The Level" rooms, and got bottled water every day as well as practical items to help with being out and about such as packets of tissues to take out with us (not everywhere, including museums and restaurants, have toilet paper all of the time!)

We had an excellent time here, and would recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit Santiago de Cuba.

the view from the top of the hotel is very nice, the pool is beautiful, the atmosphere in the lovely bar is great, the night activities are good. I really enjoyed my stay there, I love that hotel in my opinion in the best of the Dowton

I love the Hotel

Stayed here on November 5th, 2022 for two nights. This is after 4 days since they reopened. The hotel facilities are outstanding, and the staff even more.
The welcome is great and overall feeling is that of a nice classy hotel. There were no limitations for food or drinks available.  Breakfast was nice and freshly made. Pool bar and amenities also good.
Small items in the room that needed attention which were promptly remedied. overall a good experience.

Nice hotel nice staff

I stayed at the Melia Santiago de Cuba at the beginning of February. My boyfriend and I stayed for a week from Feb 4 to Feb 11   . As always  we enjoyed a clean hotel, beautiful pool and  very friendly staff members.  Special thank you to Yadira in Atencion al Cliente, she was so helpful and kind, we love her soooo much. Also I would like to mention the perfect and professional treatment from Guzman and the new Hotel Manager. I can't wait to visit again! All the best to the #1 Hotel in Santiago de Cuba. I highly recommended it!!!

Amazing  as always!!!!!

There are many reasons why I come back to this hotel: You’re welcomed. They have something new and enjoyable for the family, and the service it’s amazing!! The Lobby Bar and the Snack Bar by the pool are amazing, the Capuccinos made there are unforgettable, once they know how you like it they manage to serve it as such. The Bello Bar is located in the 15th floor, this offer an espectacular city view at night, this could be very romantic or the great opportunity to dance salsa. It depends on the day you choose to go. In addition to that, the Restaurants are also outstanding, the Italian, the Buffet, and the Isabelica Restaurant, which for me it’s the best as it’s more private, more romantic, and they offer exquisite dishes with a great service, too. I would like to thank everyone in that beautiful hotel, mainly to the Customer’s Service lead Yadira Forgas, Carlos Batista, Pedro Larrea and the Maitre Luis Mario. Some bartenders that I can mention: Dayami, Yetzabel, Humberto, Victor, Yolanda, Alexis, Laila, Elcira, Maricel, Yusleidis, Yindra and I wish I could remember all the names. Thank you all!! 

State-of-the-art Service and Food in this beautiful hotel 

This large modern hotel is the highest building in this city. Like all other hotels it is of course government owned. The room was spacious and the bed was firm yet comfortable. I chose a very good pillow from the wardrobe.  The buffet dinner was quite good however the breakfasts were not very appetizing.

Luxurious Hotel

My girlfriend and I stayed here from Feb 4-11, 2020. We stayed on the plan that has breakfast included but no lunch or dinner.  Firstly the arrival went perfect. Walked into the beautiful lobby, checked in very fast.  Everyone from the front desk staff (Thank you Guzman) and the belhops (Thank you Rene) being upbeat and extremely professional throughout the week.  The room was clean and had everything that it should where it should be.  The unlimited internet included (both wireless AND wired) when you upgrade to a suite is amazing as in Cuba unlimited internet is very rare in any hotel. The hotel pools were very clean as were the hotel grounds.  Special thanks to Yadira from guest services who was very helpful giving us some advice on a few cultural happenings in Santiago and some museum info.  Also a big thanks to Pedro (im not sure what his job is but he always seems to be helping everyone) for getting a candle we requested extremely fast as it was needed for a prayer.  The breakfast at the Melia is without question BY FAR the best available in the entire province.  Nowhere else comes close.  We also ate at the italian restaurant a few times for lunch and had some great pasta and pizza.   Apparently there is a new hotel director there who really seems to know the local market.  A few new weekly events have been started at the Melia as well as many changes to some of the programs since our last visit.  Overall an extremely well run hotel with staff who genuinely care about their clientelle.  If you go Santiago de Cuba there is no other option that compares to the professionalism and quality that the Melia offers.  We will definitely be back and we will be staying at the Melia.
