I've never seen such a mess before. It looks like a sloppy, disgusting hotel, it's broken, dirty, smelly. I've made three hotels during my stay in Egypt but this one is miserable and yet it's expensive for what it is. The cabinets are old, the kitchenette doors remain in your hand... Don't rely on the pictures they put on the internet, believe me. Monte Cairo is the worst scam of my life. After a horrible night between the noise of airplanes (yes, you hear them very well), a motor noise under the window of my room, a catastrophic bunk bed, when they wake up, I see that they've come to my vacation in my bar.

Worst hotel experience of my life.

They say card facilities available but then demand a deposit in cash only despite putting the room charge on your card.
Filthy walls and curtains, similar to what I imagine a drug den looks like. 
Advertised as self catering but no cutlery or crockery. Just dirty empty cupboards. I suppose the kettle is what they mean- who knows
The towels are hard and old and the cleanliness of both those and the bedding is questionable.
Our door lock was faulty and we got locked in- not to worry, someone simply climbed through our bathroom window and let us out after jiggling the lock! 
The lift didn’t work when we arrived, but was operational the following day, probably best to not use it anyway. Bit of a death trap.
Open trash cans every where complete the ambiance. 
Oh and don’t be alarmed by the room where the cats live, they just creep under the door in the sandy tunnel they’ve made. 
The TV also didnt work. No wifi and no TV.
Reception staff are so well matched to the accommodation.
People were walking around, shouting and coming and going until well after 3am. You generally feel unsafe
We stayed one night,declined the breakfast and left as soon as possible

What a waste of money!

It's a good place to stay for under $50 a day. All rooms have kitchenettes, and most of the rooms have 2 bathrooms. It's a perfect place for families that are staying in Cairo for health treatments as an example. 

Furnished Apartments in Cairo 

I found the place nice, clean and quiet.The area is correct and the separation between the bedroom and the living room was better suited than a classic hotel especially with young children.The local breakfast was delicious and copious.The only two things I noticed were the lack of utensils and the coolness of the pool.

Good value vs cost

Monte cairo suites is one of the worse hotel we have ever stayed. Before we leave for Cairo we have paid 50% money towards our rooms. When we got to the hotel night time manager Mr Fadl denied we have paid the money. Mr Fadl accused us not paying and he was one of the rude person we have met in the Egypt. Egyptian people are really nice but Mr Fadl was and is one of worse person and he was rude. We gave him the bank statements and still he didn't believed us. After 2 days they figured it money was sitting in their account. Any ways rooms are dirty and afew cockroaches in the bathroom. Breakfast wasn't nice. Owner Mr Nour is an arrogant and a liar. Mr Fadl should be sacked how he behaved with us. I am ashamed of this hotel. We had an excellent time in Egypt but this people Mr nour and Mr Fadl are a liar and thief and rude. Don't go to this hotel and just stay away.

My time was quick but i loved it. The place was nice and clean. And the pool fantastic . And mohamed help me with transportation an tours. I had a great time and memorable.  Really great. I would certainly come back.
