In beautiful and picturesque Pedoulas village, the hotel offers a good stay, with big and very clean and spacious rooms, good traditional breakfast and friendly owners.  It really worth the visit for a few days getaway from the busy towns.

Good Hotel in Beautiful Pedoulas Village

Room had smoke coming in from hotel restaurant barbecue which is at street level and seems to be lit from morning till night - the barbacue doesn't seem to have a proper chimney so the smoke just comes into the rooms above - you can stop it only by closing doors and windows - but that is not an option in the hot Cyprus summer. Rooms were generally hot. Bunk bed in family room had no safety bar on side of top bunk making it unsafe for a child. Generally the hotel is tired and poorly maintained (none of the side lights worked in our room; most of the lights in the corridor didn't work). The location is very good, you can see that this hotel was once likely the pride of the village, but it is in desperate need of modernisation and repair. The staff varied from indifferent to rude. Breakfast was below average. We had to wait for over an hour for our room to be made ready- well after the time we were told that the room would be ready. We were booked for two days. I could not have stayed a third in this place.

Tired hotel with some rooms that get smoked out by the hotel bbq 

No respect for their guest,  Right below  the hotel they have a barbecue in the day, afternoon until night,  then  in the early hours of the morning  they light  it again sending  meaty oily smoke spiraling into the rooms and corridors making it near impossible to stay in,  our clothes reeked of smoke,
In the other room, the locks were not working and we could not get in, in the middle of the night and there was no reception to let us in.#
lights did not stay on in the corridor with wire hanging from the walls, wifi practically non-existent, and kept dropping off after just one minute. 

Felt like a smoked kipper

The hotel is in a nice mountain village and it is family run. There are many stairs and no lift, don’t go if you have motility problems. My room was very basic and looked like a hostel, a double bed and two bunk beds, obviously not much free space. I travel alone….
The bathroom was small but with a good hot shower. Wifi works mostly in the hall, not so well in the rooms. The food was excellent not at dinner (hummus and a huge portion of home made moussaka) and at breakfast, prepared expressly and brought to your table in a very short time: egg and bacon, cheese and charcuterie, home made jam, olives and tomatoes. The price is very reasonable and the accept cards.

Basic rooms but excellent food

Absolutely appalling. The room smelled of mould, the sewage smelled in the bathroom but the door wouldn’t close. The food took 2 hours to arrive. The room had cobwebs, the sheets had stains on them, the paint is peeling. Breakfast was cheap. Windows were single glazing and wouldn’t close completely.

A terrible stay

kleftiko was not kleftiko in a way we know it in Cyprus... (potatoes was fried, and lamb was not cooked in the fire oven) food was not enough for the price and was poor, also staff, mostly the one with beards and tatoo on the left hand was very rude and sarcastic.. we just ask for the menu and he answered in a sarcastic manner, “what you will do the menu, i can tell you the food we offer” and then i said i want to see in order to give order, and he answered back i can tell you prices as well... man i am not poor people. do not underestimate your guest... they bring water without glasses.. what was that????

The bed was comfortable but that was the only positive thing we could say about the room. The carpet was so bad, dirty & with several burn marks, we didn’t want to walk on it. The wardrobe & bathroom were dirty - we couldn’t put anything on the wardrobe or bathroom shelf. We stayed for 2 nights & only had luke warm once for showers, the rest of the time it was freezing cold, despite the warm weather. There were several broken tiles & a broken towel rail. The curtains were extremely thin so as soon as the sun rose we were woken up. It took 10 minutes to find someone to check in & check out. We had a bottle of red wine on both nights at the restaurant, taken from the shelf marked €12. On the second night, after we’d paid for it & opened it, a member of staff came along & tried to get more money from us, saying it was €20. Due to the cherry festival it was extremely noisy & the on street parking was extremely difficult. We personally would not stay in this hotel again as even at €45 a night this hotel has a long way to go before offering value for money.

The Fawlty Towers of Cyprus

Andreas & the Bulgarian female staff member were such lovely warm and welcoming people. Had two meals here in our 3 night stay. Amazing views from the terrace seating area. Food was plentiful and the beef dish was superb. Good prices and service great but not rushed. Highly recommend a visit here. 

Restaurant review only

This is a family run small hotel with about 15 rooms and an attached restaurant providing a great service with smile and warmth, and the owner Laura is a very loving lady taking care of her guests nicely and lovingly. Very peaceful setting, nice big rooms, great view of the village, good breakfast, very good restaurant. We were there during the non-rush non-season time, and perhaps we were the only guests, and so got all the attention - I hope that they provide the same service and care during the rush season - I trust they do; highly recommended.

Peaceful welcoming

Stopped here on our Troodos trip. Ordered sandwiches and waited 35 minutes. What we had was good but the wait was too long as we only had an hour to look around. All you can eat for €12 looked delicious but not what we wanted
