When we arrived there were no towels and bed linen. We had to call someone (the reception was already closed) and with instructions via phone we had to find the towels ourselves. The service was friendly and the towels and linen were nice and clean. We were with four people in a six person hytte, so there was enough space for us. The kitchen is fine, although cooking a good meal for six people might be difficult with the stuff provided. The bathroom has a sauna (we didn't use it) but we would have preferred if the sauna was replaced with a shower cabin. Right now there is no cabin, so when you take a shower the whole floor gets soaked. The beds were not the best you can expect, but they were okay. There is free wifi. The cabins look nice, with the grass on the roofs, and the surroundings of the hyttegrend are nice too. The park itself didn't look very nice, since they were renovating some of the cabins. There was an oil barrel right in front of our house.

Had a nice stay here

We rented a Cabin for two nights. It was clean and had a wonderful wiew of The mountains. Nice staff, smiling and helpful. We had a wonderful stay! If you love skiing in The winter, walking or biking in summer, this is a Perfect location. You can Even go fishing in some of The lakes and rivers.

Nice stay close to nature and town

We booked an apartment (HG09) for four days in early April. I had just skied in the Troll Mountain Marathon and had to run to Nordseter from Sjusjoen after the race. The apartment was small but had everything we needed. It was located just 20 metres from the ski track that leads back to Sjusjoen or on to Nevelfjell, Lillehammer, or Pellestova. This is some of the world's best cross-country skiing with pisting every morning. There is a rather rundown ski waxing hut adjacent to the apartment, but it was very useful.

There was a small room with a typical Norwegian bunk bed (double below and single above) and the sofa in the lounge/kitchen could have slept two small youngsters. The shower/toilet was large and clean with a sauna.

The apartment soon warmed-up and although we were careful with electric consumption we managed a sauna every day and were never cold during the frosty nights. We consumed around 90NKr worth of electricity- about £9 worth. 

The staff in the nearby service centre were always helpful and cheerful. There is a small grocers, bakery, café, ski shop and rental. It was a good place to go for a coffee and to use the free (15 minutes) internet. There is a small downhill ski slope in the resort. We were tempted to go for a floodlit ski but in the end, the quality of the cross-country skiing was enough.

We opted to do the final clean of the apartment. This was easy using materials left in cupboards.
We flew from Edinburgh to Gardermoen and caught the excellent train to Lillehammer. A bus service takes 25 minutes to climb up to Nordseter and stops close to the service centre.

We loved staying in Nordseter and look forward to another visit very soon.

Great location for cross-country skiing

We were 10 students who stayed here a weekend. The place is located 20-25 min with a car from Lillehammer, there is nothing up her... No store, resturant or anything. The cabbin was wery (!) small, the kitchen had 5 chairs for 10 beds... The couch was for 6-7 people... 
We got billed 1200kr in electricity after the stay, thats under 3 days!! How can that be??? We asked if there could be a mistake, but no. Use you money on a place that gives value:)

We rented a 10-bed cabin in July 2012, and stayed with family and friends for 7 nights. The booking process, the follow-up from the staff, as well as the service experienced during our stay was excellent. I must say again, the friendliness and service willingness of the staff was above anything I have met before. The cabin was nice and clean, well equipped and completely up to date as expected. We will return for sure.

The location is great for a family with small children as there are many things to do in the immediate area.
