Excellent hotel. Simple and tasteful design. Spacious room with comfortable beds. Friendly and helpful staff. Fresh orange juice, bread, crepes, jam and omelettes for breakfast. Good food available at lunch and dinner as well. Roof terrace with view on valley of queens etc, peaceful garden. Nice spot in village near Habu temple, archeological sites within east reach by bicycle (can rent at Funtasia next door), but also well away from tourist crowds. Highly recommended.

Relaxed, excellent and friendly hotel West Bank Luxor

I stayed for 3 days in this accommodation and there wasn’t any floors I could see I highly recommend “Nour El Balad”, it’s decently clean and hygienic, the food and service is good, the location is amazing and it’s very easy to get a Taxi, tuk tuk or what ever you prefer

Great

This hotel is the best one I’ve been while traveling for a month in Egypt. The facilities were clean and beautifully decorated. The stuff is friendly, welcoming and helpful. Mohamed is someone you can trust and he’s got many tips and contacts to help you with your trip. It’s very well located on the West Bank of Luxor, which in my opinion is a much nicer place to stay than the crowded and busy city centre. Mohamed lives by the hotel with his family and takes care of the orchard and the goats and cows, where you can walk and chat with his relatives. The sunlight at sunset is beautiful from the rooftop… but the best is THE FOOD. You definitely have to have dinner there and ask for the duck!! Best dinner we had! I would come back without any doubt. Loved this place.

Best hotel I’ve been in Egypt

We stayed for 4 days in a double room - hotel is mud brick so although it was 40deg, the room stayed cool. The generous size room had a double bed with mosquito net, and also a single bed and dining table. The attached bathroom had a separate tiled shower, basin and toilet. The rooftop balcony had amazing views of the surrounding countryside.
The communal dining area had ceiling fans and was a great place to meet with other guests. Reliable and fast Wifi in this communal area. The hotel is in a rural area on the West Bank near the Valley of the Kings and they have reliable taxi drivers and ferry contacts so travel to the hotel is so easy. Hot air balloons surround the hotel early each morning as tourists view the valley of the kings.

Abdul and his team were so willing to help in any way and produced the most amazing variety of meals including, duck, chicken, fish and a variety of eggplant and vegetable dishes. Nothing was too much trouble. All the food is fresh, the best meals we had in Egypt. We would love to return one day.

Excellent service, Great location for Valley of the Kings, rural surroundings

I was invited by friends who were staying at Nour El Balad. You have to order early in the day so the cook can get the freshest ingredients. We ordered their famous duck and Bulgar with salads and vegetable Tagin . It was absolutely scrumptious. The hotel is like a home away from home and my friends loved it there.

Delicous dinner

I highly recommend staying at Nour El Balad on the West Bank. I stayed here for 3 nights but I wished I could have stayed here for weeks. It is a beautiful large and Grand guest house facing the Elgurna mountains, not too far from Habu Temple and other temples. Abdelradi, the lovely host and chef is trained in fine French cooking and knows his food. The breakfast there was something I looked forward to in the mornings. Freshly baked sun bread from the outdoor oven, an organic farm at the back and local honey from the monastery down the road. I spent my days being woken up by the sun that creeped through my window, cycling on my rented bike visiting temples and being mesmerised by sunsets on their rooftop as children nearby played soccer on the foothills of the mountain. The rooms are beautifully designed with a large King size bed and ensuite. I also had dinner here every night, which Abdelradi lovingly made.  I highly recommend his pesto pasta dish. Love the Egyptian and European infusion he combines in his cooking. He puts his heart and passion for food in his cooking. I recommend this place for families, friends and solo travellers. Quiet, serene, soul enriching with a homely feel. One of a kind place to stay and already dearly missed. Can't wait to return to this sanctuary.

If you like quietness, friendly staff, delicious food, cleanness..then that is the place to stay. 
If you are lucky the 5 starts chief Abdel rady will treat you to a duck or stuffed pigeon dish.
the place could be a head start for all luxor temples area where you can crash and relax after a long day among history.
