We stayed art this hotel during our recent trip to Prague. It was really close to the Old Town Square. Spotlessly clean hotel. A couple of the reception staff spoke English but the others didn't. There was a great choice of food at breakfast. Breakfast time was between 7.30am - 10.30am. We had an issue with our radiator in our room as it wasn't heating up properly. As we had booked a basic room rather than a more expensive room, we weren't in the main hotel, but were in an annex at the back of the building. I had no issue with this other than it got noisy early in the morning as the kitchen was next to us. Even though we had a couple of issues I would stay here again and recommend to others.

Great little hotel

Far more negatives than positives, this is not the best place to stay if you value your sleep. Positioned next to a club that plays music from 7pm to 10 am and the walls being wafer thin a good nights sleep is practically impossible even with ear plugs. Breakfast is awful- choice of sandwiches which aren’t fresh and 2 choices of cereal in addition with Luke warm tea or coffee. The toilets and showers are clean which is great, cleaned everyday however the toilet paper is horrible, I’d suggest to bring your own. None of the above is the worse part- when we arrived at 11 pm we were greeted with a miserable member of staff, who was very unhelpful and told us we had to pay the rest of the money in CZK cash despite information provided saying we could pay by card. This was extremely inconvenient, thankfully there is an atm in the building but it has the worst exchange rate in the world and robs you. We tried to ask if we could pay some of the money now (about half we had) and pay the rest tomorrow but he was not accepting of this which was extremely frustrating. However the reason I have rated this 2 is because at least it is a safe and clean hostel with clean rooms and beds. Despite its location next to the club it is in the middle of the city a few mins from the main square and means you don’t need to take transport anywhere. I stayed in a private double room which was nice and spacious, but this doesn’t make up for the fact there is loud music on all night. I would only recommend you to stay if you are a deep sleeper and there is no where else available. Certainly not good value for money. Despite this it didn’t ruin my stay in Prague which is a brilliant city.

Don’t go if you value your sleep!!!

First, the receptionist was one of the most unfriendly and unprofessional person I've ever met. When we booked our room, she took a lot of time to find keys to the room. 
There were lockers in the room, but since we only had one key, we could only use one locker. And the locker that we had was not working, so we had to force the door to close it and even then it wouldn't work, so we had no place to put our private things.
The cleaning staff was as unprofessional as the receptionist. We paid for two days, and while we were in the room, one of the cleaning lady came into the room and then went to the receptionist telling we were not supposed to be there. And the receptionist, without even checking, told us to leave while we had paid for the two nights already with the same receptionist. We had to show her our receipt to convince her we paid for two nights. When she checked in her papers, it wasn't noted as such, so thank god we had kept our receipt! Also the fact that you can't pay by card in a centrally located hostel in Prague, such as this one, is not convenient.
The bathrooms were very simple, not even a door to close. If you want to take a shower, you have to accept that anybody can open the sliding door of your shower. There is no lock neither on the shower door, neither on the main shower room. And you don't have a place to change yourself, you have to do it in the room, which means you have to go through the corridor and get to the shared-room in order to change in front of the other hostel guests.
The beds of the room were alright, but there was no curtain at all in the room, so the simplest light could wake us up. And the room is really noisy, you hear every sound from the hostel, and there is a bar just next to it that puts music on all night until dawn. The music starts around 8 p.m. and doesn't stop until 6 or 7 a.m. the following morning.
The breakfast is really simple, and you have one sandwich per person plus the cornflakes. You are not allowed more than one small sandwich, which is why they keep the sandwiches behind the reception's desk, so you have to go through the receptionist to be allowed to have your small sandwich.
The common cutlery was always dirty, and the orange juice was disgusting. We knew that the breakfast would be simple, but we couldn't believe our eyes when we saw what was offered. You have to keep money to buy breakfast in the city if you don't want to be hungry by 10 a.m.
I know it's a low price, but it's still scandalous to allow such a place to be like that in a city center.

Unfriendly and unprofessional receptionist and cleaning team

The location of this hostel is absolutely amazing for the price. You are right in the center of Praha 1, and thar is a huge plus. 

However, I cant give 5 stars for a few reasons:
- I got in late and just wanted to check in and sleep. The guy working at reception took about 25 minutes per person for checkin, and kept breaking up payments so people would take out wallets 2 or 3 times. Maybe I just caught the guy on a bad night. Every other staff member was great. But he really couldn't give  a proper welcome or room directions at all, on this night. 
- There is no PoS system and everything is written down old school.
- this place is LOUD at night. They have free earplugs to mitigate the loudness, but I was not aware just how loud this place was before booking. While the beds were comfy, for a hostel, the volume made sleeping tough.

There are large lockers here, which is a nice touch.

Best Location, Sleep not Guaranteed

We only stayed for 2 nights and that was enough. There is loud music playing literally all night, the showers are in 1 block (men and women together) even though you have a small cubicle to shower it’s not big enough to get dressed/undressed in. 
The free breakfast was cereal, tea and coffee which was fine and a lovely touch to get a sandwich as well. 
It’s in a good location and was a good price but definitely hard to sleep!

Fine not great

Basically the location is great and the atmosphere was ok. Unfortunately they are not digitalize and you can't pay in credit card in the reception, needed to pay in cash with local currency. The walls are thin and you can hear everything. Lot of noise during the night from other guests..

Not the best..

Great location, breakfast is included.
 There's a police station located next to the hostel which make feel safe. The beds were comfy, the common area and the restrooms were clean. 
Everything that I needed was close as well
the Florence Bus station. I will stay in here again on my next visit to Prague. 

Great

I wanted to give this hostel an excellent review.  The hostel has some good qualities and some fine staff; but its flaws glare like huge warts.

The hostel is in an ideal location close to Old Town Square.  The hostel is clean and provides breakfast including sandwiches.  Some staff were extremely helpful in providing services and answering tourist related questions.

Now for the flaws.  I am a solo traveler who booked a bed in a four dorm room for a week.  I arrived to my room, after a tour on the third day, to discover my luggage removed from my room and relocated to the front office.  I asked what was up and why I wasn't informed of the move beforehand . Staff provided a rambling and tangential excuse including: "hostels are like a jigsaw puzzle and you are renting a bed."  I was given a bed in a six dorm room for the remainder of my stay.  I informed staff that I paid for a four dorm bed; not a six dorm bed.  Staff apologized and refunded the difference in cost between the six and four bed dorm.  My other complaint is that some staff were either ignorant or indifferent to their jobs,  One guy was a new hire who didn't even know how to direct me to the main metro station.  

I would recommend travelers to book with another Old Town hostel with better reviews.

Just OK

Stayed with 2 friends in August which is peak time and the price was very good. The location is also excellent in the Prague Old Town. 

We stayed in a 12 bed dorm. It basically lived up to our expectations we didn’t expect it to be very luxurious. They did provide us with a locker in our room to keep our stuff safe when we were out and about. Only inconvenience with the room was only having one key between 3 that you needed to use every time you left the room even to go to the toilet. There was only one bathroom on our floor as well which wasn’t ideal but the showers were ok. 

There wasn’t very much to do in the hostel itself. We had a few drinks in the common room one night that wasn’t very lively. Their selection on board games is terrible, they didn’t even have a deck of cards that we could use to entertain ourselves. The staff could definitely be more helpful as well and move a little bit faster. 

All in all a cheap stay for young people visiting Prague, could be an unreal spot with a little bit of work. 

Good value, could improve

This hostel is in a great location and has a lot of potential for being good. We encountered some lovely helpful staff but the person who checked us in was very rude and we had to stand for ages before he even spoke to us. The hostel was, in general, very clean. However, on the first night all the toilets on our floor and one on the floor below were blocked and out of use. There also was only one male and one female toilet on the majority of floors, not enough for 9 people dorms! The free sandwiches is a brilliant idea and we made use of this every day. Also good that they give free showegel, towels and earplugs if you want them.
