Fethiye

We spend four days at Onur Pension and it was a nice experience. Cozy atmosphere and good people running the place. Also very central so you can walk to the center, the harbour and almost all other places you want to visit in Fethyie.

Very nice place

Thanks for a friendly and cosy stay.  Everything we needed at short notice. The morning included a great traditional Turkish breakfast and excellent hospitality. Located in a quiet residential area.  A good place to set off for the day.

Quiet and homey stay

Onur Pension is located very close to the bus station and local mimibuses station, but on a small street with minimal traffic. This location gave us a possibility to have a trips around. This is also very quiet place, so different from big hotels full of tourists and noise of suitcases on wheels. It was some kind of pleasure for me to have a breakfast on balcony early morning and listen haw the quarter wakes up. Everyday life here has its own slow  rhythm. We spend in this nice place  a week. The atmosphere was like at home without tiring crowd. The room was modest and clean and the owner Muzo exceptionally helpful. We had had a problem with trips booked in local travel agency and Muzo helped us resolve it without our request.

I only stayed half a day and one night in Onur pension returning from Kaş, cause I needed to catch my Shuttlebus to Dalaman the next morning. Ideal location being on walking distance from the bus station. Still Muzo will drive you to where ever you want to be without charging. It is a part of his service. 
And he keeps you up to date with the bus hours. I wanted to be sure I would be on time in Dalaman and relied on the internethours. In the end the hours Muzo told me were the real ones and I could have enjoyed my breakfast a little bit longer. 
Do not rely on internet, rely on the people when it comes to cathing busses.
It is quite a challenge to find a place in Fethiye where you do not hear the loud traffic of the big roads. This is one, it is a quiet spot with everything nearby. Harbour, watertaxi to Çalış  beach, town, vegetable markets, archeologic museum, ...
Maybe difficult to say for one night but beds felt very comfortable.

quiet and practical

We had a one night stop over at Onur Pension and it was great! We wish we had more time. It felt like we were at home. Muzo was the best!!! We arrived at 2am and he was waiting for us. He provided us with water and anything else we would need until the morning. He mentioned they offer free shuttle service for customers to and from the bus stop. 

When we woke up we were provided with a traditional Turkish breakfast. It was fresh and delicious. While we were eating Muzo spoke to us and kept us company. After breakfast he played the Turkish guitar and sang. 

It's close to bus station, there's great wifi and air conditioned rooms. It has all the necessities for a comfortable stay. The rooms are accurately depicted in the pictures.

We definitely recommend to stay here... Even if it's just to hang out with Muzo! 

Great staff, great breakfast, great stay!!

The Onus Pension is in a quiet, mostly residential neighborhood.  A 15 minute walk gets you to the marina and a bit further on and you're in the town center.  In the opposite direction of the pension it's about at 15 minute walk to the bus station.  Making the pension's location very convenient if you're arriving by bus.

Highlights include;
The Kings Tomb ruins are 15 minutes away walking.
The famous Tuesday Fethiye Market is about 5 minutes away.
Close to bus station.
Quiet Neighborhood.
Lovely hosts.
Supermarkets are close, Sok and a newly opened Migros.  In different directions from the pension but both are about 15 minutes walking.
We enjoyed having the use of the fully equipped kitchen.
Luggage storage at no extra cost!

Our twin room on the third floor was a good size, clean, nicely furnished with a balcony,   The furnishings are simple, but good quality and appropriate for a pension.  Beds linens are clean and beds are comfortable.
The room also came with an entire wall of closet space, mini fridge, small table, and two chairs.  Plus the room had lots of windows.  It was airy with plenty of natural light.
Bathroom is the basic Turkish style with shower in the center of bathroom, plenty of hot water and the toilet, shower and sink worked perfectly. No leaking.

There is Wifi for free. Our connection worked best in the patio downstairs.

Breakfast is included, but we're unable to share how that was because we opted out of breakfast and did our own thing 

The hosts, husband Muzo and his wife are very gracious and willing to help.  Anytime we sat in the patio they would share a tea, a fruit drink or snacks.  They also stored our extra luggage at no cost while we hiked the Lycian way (Thank you!)  And Muzo graciously offered to take us to the bus station on our last day.
