Bad luck, when we arrived at the hotel, all streets around were in work. Even the place is quiet, the view around was not very pleasant. Rooms are clean. Our bathroom was freshly painted and renewed and it was top. But the furniture are somewhat tired and outdated. The wallpaper was peeling in many places and nothing was really rigth (television, picture on the wall, door clinch,...). Even if outside the area was quiet, we had to suffer our noisy neighbors for a good part of the night. At the breakfast, the waiter was not the more pleasant when i asked him for a hot chocolate. So i had to choose another drink. We had a poor choose of pastries. So for a single night ok but no more. 

Four old Stars 

The Palas Hotel is super clean and well maintained. The decor is dated but very comfortable. Breakfast was OK but served in a very dark area and the food kept being brought out to the buffet by stages so it was annoying. The last thing they bought out was a delicious Russian potato salad but by then I could only taste it since I was too full to enjoy a regular portion. There was some noise from other rooms which eventually quieted down. We were in a quiet corner so street noise was not a problem. The New York Pub about a 5 minute walk away was great!

Very good stay

Very  clean, very quiet, very good and large doublebed, very good breakfast!
We reach the hotel on a saturday, late in the evening, we found a free room and we managed to eat in the hotel restaurant at 21.30.

Nice place

I booked a table for four people on a Sunday evening despite suspecting it would be empty. 
When I arrived, the waiter was definitely not in a mood yo serve me as he kept ignoring me. I had to tell him that I wanted to be served. Keep I'm mind that I was the only guest of the restaurant at that point.
When the rest of the group arrived, the waiter kept being disrespectful to them especially when taking their order. 
The food for two of us arrived 15 minutes after order which was fine, but the rest of the group had to wait extra 30 minutes (unfortunately, I am not exaggerating) for their meals. We did not receive an apology for that at all!
My meal, a rissoto, was too undercooked when I returned it, no apology again. 
When I received the check, the rissoto was on the check, an item that I didn't consume, when I raised the issue to the waiter, he abruptly stated that people usually pay for the food they didn't eat...

No need to say that I would not set a foot in there ever again!

Do not recommend!

I stayed here for 3 weeks through work I had a room on the 2nd floor the room was cleaned every day. The mini bar in the was ok and topped up when used.
The breakfast had a good selection of food there was something for everyone to pick from.
The restaurant at night was had a good selection to choose from the pizza was made in front of you and all looked good I had pork chop numerous times and was always good,they have a good selection of drinks all reasonable prices
They only fault I could find was the food always just seemed to be served warm never hot that's maybe a bulgarian thing.
There are plenty of other restaurants all within walking distance some hidden in secluded area's we only found them by asking locals 

Nice hotel

This hotel was very pleasant surprise for us! For this class of hotel/ amount of money for room/! The hotel has top location at the heart of the city with free parking! Rooms are warm, clean, well organized with sparkling clean bathrooms with a bathtub and big comfortable beds.
Only one thing that I can’t find out why relax centyr is extra charges.
Breakfast was good/ typical with rich assortment. We definitely recommend!

very pleasant surprise

The hotel was full with 2 coach loads of tourists and we were very happy to be upgraded to a suite.The room is enormous and comfortably furnished but rather dated.
There is a kettle and 2 complementary bottles of water but if you want to make yourself a coffee using the sachets provided you will be charged 1 lev ( about 50 cents )This seems a ridiculous economy but I was told it is hotel policy.I would recommend increasing room prices by $1 and offering free coffee. 
Perhaps because the hotel was so busy the breakfast was not very exciting.

Verging on the ridiculous

Only the location as mentioned in the subject is worth to be praised... was checked into the hotel by my supplier where we stayed as part of the European Distributors meet. Not at all a comfortable stay with lack of basic amenities like a proper plug point to connect your laptops or mobile chargers. Worst part was no water at all in the toilet commode and even after complaining all they could say was to wait until morning or change the room. Changing the room was not an option as i was getting late for the gathering dinner and managed to somehow manage till the morning with a makeshift adjustment with the knob in the toilet which i had to keep shutting off and on. 

Next day for the shower experience was highly unpleasant as the water just didnt drain in the bath tub stagnating all very badly. The toilet water problem was sorted out when i returned in the evening but then again the next day morning the commode ran out of water without any sign and it again gave terrible experience. 

The staff seems to be least bothered to attend the complaints and i hope i do not stay here again

Favorable Location is all we can praise !!!!

Our travel agent booked a night here for us, the room is spacious and with windows on two sides. The bed was comfortable. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant which turned out to be better than expected. Breakfast choices are acceptable for a boutique hotel.

Nice and Spacious 

We had a very pleasant surprise, when we checked-in, we recived an apartment instead of a double room. Perfect location in the city center. Free parking with video surveillance. Superb restaurant with outdoor terrace. Breakfast should be improved. The old waiter at the restaurant is a bit grumpy with the costumers.
