Doris runs a small guest-house well located close to everything .
The sos are quite small, but with comfortable beds and we also had a balcony! The breakfast holds almost everything you want. Doris is very helpful and a very nice person.


Nice place with a great hostess

I stayed in  a appartment that had 2 rooms with fully equiped kitchen and spacious bathroom. A little pricy but the landlady was very friendly. The Pension offers breakfast that i didn't taste because i had to leave for work. Also parking space in front of the property.

Spacious 3 persons room

Although one doesn't spend much time in the room it was a bit pokey compared to some of the others in the same pension. Breakfasts were pleasant and the owner was very friendly. Our room only had 1 power point which in today's times is just not good as there are generally 2 cellphones per couple that need charging then the camera batteries etc etc. The pension is right next to the ski school which is awesome for beginners but quite a walk to and from the 3 closest ski lifts. If there is a good snowfall season you might be able to ski to the pension via one of the slopes but u will still need to walk back up to the lift. The whole area is awesome for skiing as long as the snow has fallen so January on is good.  Loved Saalbach and all the village has to offer.

Pleasant but tiny tiny room

I had a fantastic stay at Pension Hager over the Christmas and New Year period. Doris is an absolute darling and fantastic hostess, nothing is too much trouble for her and you are always guaranteed a warm Austrian welcome. 
The pension is genuinely ski in - ski out with a very conveniently located heated ski and boot room.
Rooms are immaculate and of traditional high quality Austrian standard with plenty of space; even in the single room that I had for my final week.
I can not recommend this guest house and it's owner highly enough. I look forward to future stays in the Hager both in summer, for the excellent mountain biking and of course for the skiing in the largest ski resort in Austria. Thank you for a wonderful stay, sorry that I didn't manage the Schnapps on New Years day!!!

Fantastic Friendly Pension - Ausgezeichnet!

Found this on booking.com and couldn't have been happier. Cheap rate (32 euros per night including a hearthy breakfast) including the Joker card, a magic pass that gives you access to lifts, swimming pools and all sorts of fun things (in summer only, mind you). The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the lady owner is nice, charming and helpful, they have a bike/ski room, parking, a garden and are within walking distance to the lifts and town.
