Juanita guesthouse has a great location near the beach and the shopping facilities are endless! I enjoyed staying there with my class primarily because of the clean and spacey rooms. Very enjoyable! It was close to everything!

Superbly situated for the old town and port.We had the ensuite which was great value for the price we paid.The room was comfortable and well equipped so it's worth paying the little bit extra for the en suite room.
The staff were very friendly and very helpful assisting us in arranging a taxi for an early flight.
We wouldn't hesitate in using hostel juanita again..recommended.

Excellent

We stayed for 2 nights en route to Granada and loved it.  The pension is very convenient for the town centre and everything is within walking distance.  The room was very clean, including the shared bathroom and we also had a sink in our room.  The office is manned 24hrs which was reassuring even though we had no need of anyone.  The building is one of the old classical ones with beautiful big oak doors and stained glass windows.  The pension is on the 4th floor and it appeared that some of the other floors were student accommodation and some were being renovated but there was no noise at all.  For the price I couldn't fault it.

Convenient and good value for money

Room and bathroom is super clean. Single room is small but very comfortable, has a sink and extra blanket. Friendly and helpful staff, everything could be provided by request (I've asked for a hairdryer, knife and boiled water).
BUT It's cold in winter. Although I didn't have any problem with sleeping due to good blankets, it was cold to get up in the morning and take a shower.

Perfect, but cold in winter

We stayed for one night in order to arrive for early flight the next day.
The hotel is in the centre with many good bars and restaurants around. No need for a car or taxi.
The pension was very clean with very cheery and helpful staff. 24 hour concierge service. The taxi for our departure was organised for us and this was very efficient.
We stayed in room 1 which has ensuite facilities. The room was clean but rather stuffy. I would be concerned re. ventilation in summer. The room does have a window overlooking the patio but this is not evident in the main part of the room. So overall feels claustrophobic. Paper thin walls mean that you can hear the comings and goings in the communal bathroom next door. This was not a problem for us since we were getting up early for a flight but would be a nuisance if you wanted a lie in.
The internet is excellent.
I would seek somewhere more salubrious if I were staying in Malaga for several days but for a couple of nights it is good.
You can easily walk to facilities of interest or for sustenance. Public transport is nearby. The beach is also walkable.
I would stay again.
Very affordable at 47 Euros.
