Really good location just 1 street across from the main train station and only a few minutes walk from the centre. We found it to be generally an okay place to rest your head.

Our main gripe with the pension is the heat and the fact that they did absolutely nothing to mitigate it. It was extremely hot when we arrived, as it had been all summer, so it was disappointing to find that there was no fan in the room. Unfortunately the curtains had been left open, letting the sunlight directly in all day and so the room had become even hotter than it should have been. We left windows open to try cool it down, but construction next door early in the morning meant it was noisy while we were trying to sleep. The receptionist had actually commented that the heat had been abnormal all summer, so while I could accept the lack of a fan early in the summer, I really felt that by the end of August there should have been a fan in the room and the curtains kept closed during the day. 

Breakfast was very basic, very cheap too but still don't think I'd go for it again - plenty of good options nearby. 

Room facilities were fine- clean and servicable with plenty of storage for anyone staying longer.

Overall it was fine, and I'd consider staying again (outside of peak summer months). It had much more of the feel of a hostel with private rooms, rather than the cosiness I'd associate with a pension.

I chose this hotel on the basis of moderate budget in close proximity to Leipzig's main railway station.  It's only a short walk away, arriving by plane and taking the S-Bahn to get here was painless.

Reception is not open 24 hours, but late arrivals are catered for with clear instructions.  Breakfast is relatively basic but nothing to complain about, it's a pretty typical continental selection.  My room did not have an en-suite bathroom or air conditioning, here you can see why this is a budget option. However, there was a sofa as well as my bed, and plenty of space for clothes storage.  I was quite comfortable once I'd wrangled the usual German square pillow into a shape that suited me!  One minor downside is that if you open the windows, any slight noise in the outside passage/courtyard echoes quite a bit, but the volume wasn't so high as to disturb my sleep.

If you arrive late and need food, McDonald's at the station is open 24 hours.  It's hardly haute cuisine, but fills a hole.

Reasonable budget stay

I only stayed 1 night, and didn't have breakfast, but the room was large, the private bathroom clean and roomy, the wifi excellent. 
If you want parking, which is extra, I suggest booking in advance. 
The city centre is a 5 minute walk away, given that factor the price was very reasonable.

Perfect if you want parking near city centre

Staff very friendly and room and shared bathroom very clean. Central location an advantage. HOWEVER my room on the 3rd floor was next to some kind of communial room... the noise of shouting voices and music only stopped at 3 in the morning -and I am not talking about muffled sounds... it seemed as if the people were INSIDE my room. And it was extremely hot and I had to close the window in an attempt to block out some of the sound. 

Impossible noise

This tiny pension on two floors of a building that's only a 5 minute walk from the Hauptbahnhof is excellent value. Most central sights only a short walk away and the main tram station is right across from the main train station.  Very friendly and helpful staff and good level of cleanliness.  I had a room with a bathroom which I consider essential.  A bit unsure why there was no shower gel or soap provided in the shower although they did provide hand washing soap.  Definitely recommend.
