A very cosy place, with hospitable and relaxed hosts. The location is excellent, Bad Goisern is visit-worthy and its close to all remarkable places like Hallstat and Bad Ischl.

The Internet is strong, there is a parking place in front of the pension. Breakfast is hearty, coffee rather good.

B&B Sydler

Nice, very affordable boarding house 5 minutes from the city centre. Good breakfast, rooms very clean, quiet location, breakfast time until 12 o'clock possible. Parking available, swimming pool, table tennis, everything clean and well maintained. What to expect for 30€ per night more. Come back safely when we are nearby. Supermarkets nearby, many shops, etc. Nice area and very quiet.

A good pension

We arrived after 8pm and the hosts were still looking in the garden and waiting for us. We were travelling with 7 people and had in one of the two houses the top apartment with 3 bedrooms and a living room with small bathroom and extra toilet. This alone was our highlight because it is so comfortable. But in the morning the second highlight from the giant balcony had a beautiful view of the village and the beautiful mountains that are close to reach. In the surrounding area itself, you can shop. In the small shops as well as an old one. It is quiet. In the summer there is a swimming pool and in the winter you can enjoy a sleigh. Ideal for children because there is a small playground and there is also a super-free area for children and the family to enjoy as well as the early morning.

We felt really good.

The accommodation is easily accessible and very economical despite being close to Hallstat. The room was very spacious and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast is very plentiful and varied. The cleaning is something to be improved, since with carpet and so much wood, a little dust accumulates.

Pleasant accommodation in a beautiful setting.

We spent 4 nights here and are very excited about the great price ratio. Our room was simple but clean and there was even a fountain. Our room had a balcony with a table and chairs, plus a practical laundry line. The breakfast offered something for every taste (cheese, sausage, ham, jam, nutella, orange juice, tea, fruit, vegetables) and on demand there were also eggs. The location of the guesthouse is perfect for excursions in the salt chamber. In the evening you can comfortably enjoy the city centre of bath goisers, shops and lounges are all within walking distance. When you go to the house, there is no guesthouse, but it's just a right place for you to go.:-)

Nice boarding house in the heart of Bad Goisern

Over a period of four years, I went to Sydlers four times each for a short week. Now after a break of two years, I was there again for a couple of days. It's like coming home to Austria. Loving reception, loving breakfast, lovingly-made rooms and plantings with loving hosts. I can only warmly recommend the house.

Home with heart

This lovely little holiday home in Bad Goisern is a small gem. An affordable night with breakfast makes this home the perfect starting point for numerous walks in the salt chamber. Recommended for families with a small holiday budget!

Vacation pension

Penzion Sydler is situated near the centre of Bad Goisern. We stayed in an apartment  on the second floor in the main building with two bedrooms and the fully equipped kitchen in March. The rooms were clean, simply but cosily furnitured. The towels were at our disposal in the bathroom. The staff was really helpful and very kind. We ordered breakfasts, in addition, I appreciate we could choose the time when we would like to have breakfast  in the morning. Because of  the worse quality of snow on the slopes (snow was lying only there!), we set out to ski earlier. The closest ski centres are Rusbach and Gosau. Dachstein isn't so far, too. I enjoyed our stay very much. I liked the surrounding scenery, lakes … so I hope I will return here once again maybe with bikes in summer.

Nice place and kind owners

We stayed here for one night on a walking holiday, and had a room upstairs in the annexe (not the main house). The room was clean and had everything we needed. The lady owner and her sister couldn't have been nicer. I appreciate it particularly because I had a streaming cold and was feeling sorry for myself. Breakfast was fine. Location was very good, and Bad Goisern itself I thought was lovely.

Great location, lovely owners, recommended

We spend three nights at Pension Sydler, 4 Adults and 3 teenage kids.  We used one unit (same floor) that consist of three bedrooms (2 double rooms and one triple room), bathroom, separate WC and a huge, fully equip kitchen.  It's walking distance from the centre of town and very close to Dachstein, where we went skiing.  We enjoyed a great breakfast every morning and nice sauna in the evening!  The staff were very helpful and supportive when our son were injured during the skiing trip.  He was taken to the hospital in Bad Ischl and went straight to theatre ....42 stiches in the leg.  This still did not spoil our holiday and stay at Pension Sydler.  We will for sure visit again!
