I came here for the massage. The service i chose was 90 mins, which cost 450k vnd.

The girl who did the service for me just did the very basic massage. I gave her 100k vnd for the tip. She had a sacarstic smile and said i need to give at least minimum as the servuce price or higher, which was ridiculous. I gave her 500k vnd and she said OK, enough.

If i knew i had to tip higher than the price, i will never come here. I got nothing but frustration after getting out of the massage place. I can have much better service with 950k vnd. 

This is really terrible place, no wonder the massage girl said her income is higher than the Director position

Terrible place

I came here as part of a business trip. Based off the photos I've seen expected decent hotel however the experience staying here left me angry enough to write this review. 

First, the room I stayed in wasn't finished. I found dead bugs on the floor, the sheets weren't clean, there is no soap in the boxes that they give you in the bathroom and I might suggest trying to clean your ceiling fan once in a while it's covered in such mold that is blowing out junk.

The breakfast buffet photo they featured look nothing like the breakfast buffet that was offered. Half the food in the buffet was cold and looked like it was from yesterday. Beyond this one morning when I walked in the waitress seemed irritated that we were even there trying to have breakfast.

But what really pissed me off, was on checkout. In the rooms they give you two free bottles of water and in the refrigerator there are more bottles of water. There's no sign anywhere saying that the water inside the refrigerator you have to pay for. No notes nothing. Upon checking out I was charged for these to great surprise.

At first the attendant charging said 1,000 vnd per bottle but when he saw my money said no no no, 10,000 per bottle. Wtf buddy, you suck. And then he gave me one total oh, and then he added more money to that. 

They're holding onto my passport so what can I do? I was bullied into paying this money and I told the guy straight up that I was going to leave a negative review because of this and if getting 70k is more important than a good review okay.

Long story short this hotel is run back criminals who want to take advantage of people. They don't care about the cleanliness or operation they just want to take your money. I think you'd find much better hotels elsewhere.

Biggest rip-off of a hotel. Stay away

For the massage only and not the hotel. 
Not worth the 500 000 dongs per person we payed. 7 unhappy customers that will not be coming back. 
The girls were talking among themselves and on their cell phones  . 


Horrible and very expensive massage. 

He's been attending Phu Tho for the past two years, and he's completely redesigning the upper floors and the restaurant, a more modern look but above all a good sound insulation and a nice shower room.

In the process of being renovated

The stuff at front desk was unfriendly & not helpful. The room and furnishings was old, bathroom wasn't very clean & smelly, the light in bathroom was too dim. The bedding wasn't that clean either. Also, The breakfast tasted bad with only a few options. In summary, I don think it's worth for the money we paid. Not really recommend to stay. 

Not worth for money

We have been a loyal customer of Phu Tho Hotel, Ho Chi Minh city, more than 10 years. We go there at least once a year. In recent time, we found their services  and facilities gradually deteriorating. The most recent one was on February. We stayed there for 3 weeks. The hotel offered airport pick up service. we were left waiting without everyone turned up, the driver forgot about that. The hotel maintenance was very poor. Air-con was not functioning properly, The room safe is not working. When we asked to change room, this room was not much better either, such as part of the fridge inside was broken, the vanity tap handle simply falling off. Despite repeatedly requested to fix it, they didn't seem to be interested. I am sad for the hotel we supported for many years we will not longer be returning.

Disappointment

We spent 2 weeks in this hotel, the staff were excellent.  It has a very popular restaurant with complimentary buffet breakfast. A supermarket located across the road & easy access to HCM City via No.02 bus. The locals are friendly also & we weren't hounded by hawkers wanting our money. Would have no hesitation staying here again when we come back next year. 

Great hotel

I had booked this 2-star hotel in July 2010 because of its proximity to the sports stadium, where fairs are often held. It is 10 minutes' walk to the fair, 2 minutes by taxi. The hotel is clean and the rooms are divided into 3 categories: standard, deluxe and suite. My business partner had a standard that was equipped with a kingsize bed and plasma TV, I was staying in a deluxe room with 2 queensize beds and standard TV. The rooms are equipped with a minibar (which is not automatically filled) and bathroom/shower. The service was friendly and the overall condition and cleanliness of the hotel for this class (20-30 euro/night).. it is highly recommended that the restaurant do not do well by direct access to the two large ports of hotels, and the restaurants can do well by direct access to the two large ports of shopping.
