We booked this hotel directly via hotline. We did enjoyed Dalat Highland for a couple of days... This hotel is nice! You can not ask for more with this lovely hotel... cheap and good services for its category!

Very nice receptionist

Me and my family stayed in this Hotel 2 nights in August. We love Da lat, but Not the hotel,their employees. We got there after long road trip from Hue 16 hours.The staff didn't even  care to help you  carry your luggage upstairs. No elevator, no Ac,no bathtub,no Refrigerator. Room was ok.At night, when I try to ask receptionist for something, his legs was on his dest,answering me my questions. Really rude.
My laundry was 3 kgs,they tried to charged me 4 kg.Luckily,I told them to check again. And of course  I  end up  paying 3kg.
Visiting Da lat,please make sure you  be careful. They rib you off as much as possible. Check price whenever you want to buy something. Food wasn't good for  big amount  of  money you have to pay. Sorry I won't come Back again accept to go there for weather and beautiful sense.

Worst experience

5 night stay room only $91 through Agoda. Very helpful reception - given a temporary room as we were very early then a front room with balcony - 1 x double bed and fridge. Clean bathroom with wc and nice hot shower. Spacious clean room with TV and intermittent wifi - No AC. Reception gave us some free water bottles and sweets - it was Tet - A very pleasant stay - on a main road out of Dalat to the North.

Great Staff - nice rooms

Things were ok when I arrived here but there was no window in my room and it made life quite unplesent when getting up the the morning. They also offered to do my washing rather then take it down the street and now my new tailored shirts are all yellow which was incredibly disappointing. I came down stairs because I thought the internet might be quicker (as it was just not connecting in my room) and the answer was 'oh, it is always like this'. I don't mind there not being any wifi but don't have a huge sign on the door that says that you do. This also goes for the VISA sign on the door, the hostel is cash only. Da Lat is beautiful but if I was to go again I would stay at the Green City Hotel. There is a great restaurant down stairs and the music and atmosphere are great.

I stayed at the Phuong Huy 1 Hotel for 2 nights in August, 2012.
My overall impressions are that this is a good budget hotel and that I received a good value for my stay, but that it is plain and unremarkable. If you are looking for a simple hotel to stay a few nights in Dalat as I was, then it may be just what you are looking for. 

For around $8 I stayed in room 303.This room was rather small and did not have any windows. The bed and blankets were comfortable though, and there is also a writing desk and chair, a small refrigerator, and a fan in the room. While clean overall, there were some mildew stains on the ceiling and the pipe leading to the shower head leaked a bit. This room also got a bit stuffy after using the hot shower.

 If you are considering this hotel, you may prefer one of the rooms located in the front or rear of the building (there are only 3 or so rooms on each floor and it is a very narrow 3 story building). I took a peek at one of the rooms in the front of the building and besides having a nice big window, it was larger as well. Had it been available I would have chosen this room. 

No breakfast is provided by the hotel but the street the hotel is located on has many places to get a bit to eat.

The location of the hotel is decent, though it is a big higher up Bui Thi Xuan Street than many other hotels and is therefore slightly further from Central Dalat and the lake. But the location suited me fine.

The hotel manager was friendly and helpful after I checked-in and upon check-out. He even gave me a last minute discount after we chatted for a bit! He also provided me with a map of Dalat with the attractions circled (although it wasn't a very good map, it still was useful).

I'd stay here again if I were in Dalat, but I am sure many other hotels are comparable to this one or better.
