We arrived at the Premier Inn Leith to find the 2 automatic check points were broken.  There was a queu of 6 guests waiting to check in and the receptionist was extremely slow.  The check in took so long that we missed a show at the Festival.  There was no coffee at breakfast and then the hot water machine broke too.  The bed was worn. Worst hotel ever.

Awful

The hotel is worn and needs a make over, childs bed extremely uncomfortable, no servicing of the room in 3 days, poor breakfast, . Wasn’t cheap either.
I’m quite surprised as we have stayed in a number of premier inns over the last few years and all have been good. 

Worst premier inn that I have stayed at

Travel Lodge are too expensive for the services provided. It was very clean and nice staff but just so basic. Curtains needed replacing and not enough tea and coffee. No shampoo etc . 
Good position for local transport . Don’t go to the restaurant next door for breakfast, tatty and dirty, especially outside. Noisy at night. 
No aircon so had to open windows . 
Lots of roadworks but that’s not their fault - close to Royal Yacht. Lovely fish restaurant a short walk and Indian .

Not great

The staff need serious training in the use of the fire alarm.  The staff did not understand the panel or how to read it. They went looking for the fire and then sent the fire brigade to the wrong stairwell.  If they had gone straight to the sensor that reacted they would have known it was a false alarm, almost certainly someone having a vape. If theyhad done that it would have saved us all a pointless half hour in the car park. 

Fire alarm nightmare

Stayed here 2 nights while attending Foodie Festival 2022. Had a water-view room on the second floor (215) and it was lovely, slept with the window open and heard absolutely nothing but the waves lapping. Room was spacious, with 2 chairs and a small table between, placed near the window; a fan, 4 pegs for hanging wet coats as you come through the door, wardrobe area with hangers and shelves, 2 extra pillows, desk, free wi-fi, coffee, tea, a clean kettle, 2 real mugs, 2 real glasses, vanity mirror, and a small table on the bedside that didn't have a built-in table. Bed and pillows super comfy, absolutely terrific sleep. Bathroom was large and very clean, would prefer a hand-held shower but that's just my preference. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially when I went off and left my purse in the room and realising it 8+ hours after check-out, I had to come back and the manager on duty went up to the room (now in use) and found it exactly where I left it - tucked well up under the mattress (and before anyone thinks housekeeping should've found it, they wouldn't have unless they removed the mattress completely). Plenty of parking (remember to register your vehicle!) and Brewers Fayre next door, which I didn't use. Loch Fyne restaurant and bar is just up the street. Bus stop directly across from hotel, will take you up town to Princes Street. Highly recommend this hotel.

Fantastic Stay

Over night stop on our way to Inverness, comfortable room with a great view over the bay, the sunset was lovely. Caught the bus into Edinburgh centre for a look round, got tickets for the hope on hope off bus tour, excellent way to see the sites.

This hotel is in a good location just outside Edinburgh. There is a regular bus service into Edinburgh just outside the hotel.
I have stayed at this hotel before and was at the back of the hotel and very quiet, this time I was in room 104 above reception and if I stay here again I would request a different room it was very noisy with people coming in and going out, suitcases dragged along and the back of the pub where the wagons go with deliveries.
The mattress's at the premier inn are normally lovely and comfy but this one felt well worn compared to other premier inns iv stayed at.

Jubilee Weekend

Hotel itself is very good and as you would expect from Premier Inn. The food/ breakfast at the adjacent Brewers Fayre was second rate. Warm English breakfast food, mushrooms part cooked, toast had to be put twice through toaster, 
Not great value for money, but no other choice. I’ve stayed at Premier Inns at other locations and in house breakfast has always been as good as you can with buffet/self service. Disappointed this time.

New haven stay

Location is really good. Next to nice restaurants, an Uber away from Leith (we have 2 young kids, but it is very walkable) and a great bus service into Edinburgh. The breakfast is good and what you’d expect in a premier inn. All in all we got what we paid for and it was pretty decent. 

Downside - we found someone’s dirty socks in our room so it tells me it wasn’t cleaned very well. The room was like a sauna with no AC and was really uncomfortable for a family of 4 being stuck in there’s. 

the check in process was painful! The guy at the desk was like something out of a carry on film. The queues were out the door and everyone was getting quite antsy with him. 

Great location

I was very impressed with the waterfront hotel , very friendly staff and pleasant, excellent location for bus service, I will stay there again if I go to leith 😎, I forgot my phone charger and the guy on reception lent me one with no hesitation
