For the weekend I went with my friend for a road trip through Belgium.  We wanted a hotel close to the city centre. This hotel is perfectly located and within walking distance of the city centre places to be. The hotel itself seen better days. Parking close to the hotel is a challenge and the room was really outdated. The bathroom looks like a flashback from the 60ts and the beds where old and not that comfortable. We did not have breakfast there because the city has lots of nice places you can go. 
I cant tell much about the staff because I only talked to the front desk lady and she helped us nicely. The check-in and check-out is fast. The hotel is expensive for the experience but than again, every hotel in the centre of Antwerp is expensive. Will I stay in this hotel the next time I visit Antwerp? No, I will go for the much less expensive hotels out of the city centre. I rather pay 10 euros for a taxi and stay in a good hotel. Did I sleep well? Yes, but that’s not because of the quality of the hotel but more of the quality of Belgium beer. We had a lovely time in Antwerp. Great city, great vibe.

Good location, old hotel

Friendly personel, in the heart of the city and in the neighbourhood of culture and the shops of the Meir. The hotel offers  parking in their garage. But you have to be a good driver. Rooms are clean. The price of the rooms is rather high, but the location is what you pay for. Breakfast is not too exuberant.

Quite and well situated.

I gave the hotel 3 stars for the location, the silence and the friendly staff. But I could give this hotel also 2 stars for the quality/price ratio, compared to the Radisson or Hyllitt near Central Station (more like 4 to 5 stars). The location is perfect, it is near the Cathedral Marketplace, great Brasseries, top local Restaurants, but also near the University area with great bars, mostly small cash establishments, some of them maybe considered dive bars (I did not go to every single one...). The hotel staff is friendly and changing daily. Considering the major construction everywhere in this city, it has been dead quiet in the hotel, that was a major plus. A lot of people write here about the breakfast, I enjoyed the coffee or tea, orange juice, eggs (yes-only boiled) and cold cut or jam with croissant or sliced bread. I did also try the cereal with yoghurt. Not sure what people are looking for in a breakfast. There was no caviar or salmon...or champagne - maybe that is what other people writing on TA are used to. The quality of the room was ok, nothing outrageous, the bathroom was ok as well. Overall, as a combination of the hotel being a quiet place, the location, the quality of the room, the bathroom and the older style of the hotel interior in the sleeping quarters I gave this 3 Stars. I would definitely stay again. 

central basic quiet friendly hotel

I would certainly not have stayed if I was paying for it and could choose. The value for money is low. The rooms are basic, with lack of attention to detail, the mattress is squeaky and old, the room was not cleaning between my two nights, which is not such a problem, but it meant that the soaps were not re-stocked, nor were the towels replaced. Breakfast was average, the only eggs offered are boiled. Its location is in a quiet area, too quiet perhaps. But the entrance garden gives the hotel a lot of character. I wouldn't stay there again by choice.

Sub-par, low quality-price ratio.

Very nice staff!  Rooms are so-so (think Hotel 6 if you are from the US) that could use some updating, especially the worn out beds (like old army mattresses). Well located, especially if you are young and looking for a room to stumble back to from the bar.  Wi-fi had a good speed.  Personally, however, I would have stayed elsewhere had the room not been paid for by someone else.
