I'm in a superior individual room for work. The room is spacious and very clean. Simple rooms but with everything needed. The wifi is very good and the breakfast is very good. The residence is very quiet. Very good location.

Good location

My stay at the residencia was booked by a university, but I checked online prices, and I'd say it's good value for a hotel right in the middle of old Barcelona, within easy walking distance of many sights. The staff were friendly and the room was comfortable. For those that care, there is no safe, no mini-fridge, and no in-room kettle. There are also no wardrobes/chests to put your things in, just an open rail with hangers. My main reservation concerned noise. The Raval is a lively neighbourhood, with its fair share of homeless people, alcoholics, and junkies. (Forgive me for being blunt.) Sometimes it seemed they were all determined to spend all night every night fighting, smashing bottles, screaming and generally having a great time on the street outside the hotel. If you can get a room that doesn't face the street, OK. But I didn't get much sleep. One other point, if you're sensitive to scents in cleaning products, you don't want to stay here. It didn't bother me, but the room had a very strong smell from the cleaning products used, and even I, who am not normally bothered by such things, felt the need to open the windows and try and get it out. The breakfast was a standard continental one -- nothing fancy but certainly enough to set you up for the day. However, service doesn't start until 07:30.

Good price, noisy location

It’s refurbished since I last stayed there. It’s cozy and nice. Rooms vary in size but hey are well kept and clean. It’s on a noisy street and gets to be noisy at night. But it’s at the heart of Barca, between las Ramblas and las Ramblas de Raval and gives you easy access to many attractions including trendy and colourful restaurants. Breakfast is really basic, but when in Barcelona you will be mostly outside your hotel room.

Cozy and central accommodation 

Perfect location: close to the Ramblas and the Boqueria, in the Raval which is a neighborhood of Barcelona to rediscover. The rooms are somewhat spartan but consistent in cost. The staff is kind but not very conversational. Breakfast is too essential.

That's great.

It's a noisy room, with glass that didn't even close well, half-broken lid that didn't lift completely, inappropriate cleaning, handkerchief that stayed under the bed for five days, with powdered crumbs behind the dust, stinking air conditioning.

Bad trip

I've booked a double executive and it's like in the photo, daily cleaning, towels, phon, TV... a vast breakfast going from sweet to salty to fruit. Very friendly staff we asked for information even to spend our evenings.

Great living room and nice structure

I stayed with my girlfriend for 5 days. The room was quiet and clean. The staff was kind and very willing to give directions. Located in the center of town, 2 minutes from the ramble, the characteristic market and the metro station so extremely convenient for visiting the city. Don't be fooled by the entrance which is a bit anonymous. One of the few who offers breakfast.

It's a great stay.

We stayed in a couple for 4 nights, externally it does not look good then once you entered the super cozy staff and the clean room with large bathroom (and for our joy also with the bidé!!) made us believe again.

Good hotel for a tourist stay!!

My friend and I had a very good stay. Good quality/price ratio, ideal location (perpendicular to Las Ramblas), clean and personal room very nice and helpful.

I highly recommend it.

Very well located in the bustling downtown area. Many shops around, cafes, bars and restaurants. Two steps from MACBA, and 5 minutes from San Antonio.
