I have booked a room using booking.com but the hotel was closed.  (Permanently?)

We tried to ring the bell at the door and call them but nobody took up the phone.

I took the pictures from outside the building.

From outside this hotel does not look nice. But when you have booked it, you should know the price. And when you get insite, is only half as bad. Rooms are (Nr 1) is big, the bathroom is ok. All is ok. You can stay there for 2 or maybe 3 nights. The location is quite convenience. You walk 5 Minutes to the riverbanks with all restaurants. The main marktplace is 10 minutes walk, or take the tram in front of the door. Parking cost 5€/d in front.

Budget Hotel near by

Unbelievably ridiculous "service". No english, rude service, slow service, hang up twice my call angry, charged wrong credit card and will not refund, wont co-operate. I really don't recommend anybody to take a risk with this hotel. Avoid at all costs.


Rude, unprofessional customer service

Clean room, think Travelodge with character. Everything you get is clean and crisp. Good location for the city centre, tram stop outside, plenty of restaurants around the corner, supermarkets nearby, easy to get to and from.
 The business has changed hands and has improved significantly, MUCH cleaner than under the previous management.

Basic.

We were on a girls trip, two friends. We choose Schlaf city because it was a cheap alternative. The standard is so so, you get what you pay for no more. The rooms are simple and a bit old. A lot noise from the street at night. The room we got had a good size and the pillow and duvet was great. It was a bit cold at our room. Very close to shops and in ok distance to Schnoor and Der Marktplatz. We didn't spend much time on the hotel, just for having a place to sleep and have our things. The hotel was not with personale other than maybe 4 hours a day, but you could call them when you wanted to. They could not speak english(maybe a little), just german. It was no hairdryer or shampoo/conditioner even it said so when we booked. The shower had a very bad jet and it came almost no water out. Don´t expect much.

Cheap and simple alternative

When I arrived was the 1st day of the new management, I selected the hotel for the cheap price. 
The room was great = big but cold -was not working properly . T
here are 2 floors with 3 rooms oneach, no lift. I am assuming on each floor there is a room with private bath and 2 rooms with shared bath. 
WiFi is not working on the second floor, on first floor is poor and good on the lobby. 
The lady owner is friendly but do not expect much from the facilities. For what they offer, I think they are expensive €61 double/night but I could not find any cheaper.

New management

The location is very central and we used it as an overnight halt. If you drive in to Bremen be aware of the requirement for an emissions disc for your car. you may be fined if caught. Order on line and allow time before you go.The hotel falls under the uber basic category and our room was on the main road so quite a lot of road noise. It's clean ish but very tired, cracked sink no kettle etc. parking was a bit of waste ground at the side but 10 Euros anyway! Having stayed in Holiday Inn the day before made it seem worse! For around 60 Euros you  don't get much but with a bit of effort it could be so much better. 5 min walk to the center is it's main redeeming feature!
