There are three reasons to stay here.  It's a pretty cheap option.  It's close to the park.  And the view.  You do get what you pay for though, and this was a very ok experience that could have been better.

The hotel does feel dated, but I knew that going into it, so I wasn't terribly upset by that.  We did find a pretty big stain on our sheets, and there were quite a few spiders hanging out in our windows.

There was a pretty decent storm the night we stayed here.  At a nicer place, you might expect the staff to make sure things were hunkered down and secured, but here we had to listen to all of the outside furniture being blown over and pushed across the patio all night by the wind.

This place also really loves signs.  There are signs all over the place.  Including a plethora of signs to drive 5 mph, which, unlike me, you should follow.  The first day there I did not follow these signs, which admittedly, was my own fault.  Although I was driving safely and at a reasonable speed, it was certainly faster than 5 mph...when the front desk worker caught me, they proceeded to yell at our vehicle, walk after our car, and stare us down until we left the property.  Oops!

You're Really Only Staying Here to Go to the Park

The Cons: we stayed in a room
In the back ( probably the cheapest). Room a bit run down and small. Could not park directly in front of room. Staff not friendly at all. 
Pros: close to park. And they have free coffee, and ice. Grounds are nice and spacious.

Close to park, but cheap rooms need an update.

The motel was fine, for the most part (a bit of black mold around the  shower wall).  However, they are in the hospitality business, and motel desk staff could not be more unhappy in their job.  Please consider smiling at the guests and making them feel welcome.

Camper in back of hotel was our view and an empty pool
The sponge in sink looked like it had been there all season.

I would stay here if you truly can't afford the higher-priced locations.  I think the extra money to be closer to town and in more updated hotels is worth the cost. 

Perk for this hotel it is located next to Mainely Meat which is fantastic.


Was not what I had expected for 200.00 a night!

We loved this place!   Beautiful view of the water (unless it's foggy).  Very responsive staff.  Clean and quiet.  It is about 4 miles north of the town center, again, very quiet.    Note:  there's a sign in the office that if you book direct with them, there is a 15-20% discount over using a booking service.  

While you're there, eat lobster outdoors just north up the road at C-Ray's.  Then pick up a homemade blueberry pie at a roadsign just to the south.  Perfection!

A little bit of paradise!

We recently had an amazing 6 night stay at this fantastic motel. It’s located just a couple of miles from the Hull’s Cove entrance and Visitor Center to Acadia National Park and about 4 miles from Bar Harbor. It overlooks the bay and faces east for beautiful sunrises if the weather is clear. The motel was clean and well kept. All basic amenities are provided to the guests and it’s reasonably priced. Thank you Heather for a wonderful week and for all you did for us.

Highly recommend this motel

This is an older hotel a short drive out of Bar Harbor. We were pleased; Room was clean and bed was comfortable; internet worked well. Location is very close to Acadia NP and bus stop for Free Bus to Acadia close by. We had a porch overlooking the Atlantic. Quiet hours 8am to 8pm. Also an outdoor pool, which we did not use. Coffee/Tea/Ice available 24/7. Room price much more reasonable than many Bar Harbor establishments we looked at. If you do not mind an older hotel, you may enjoy here. Yes we would stay here again.

Great Stay for Us-Would Recommend!

Booked a reservation for two rooms for Hubby and me and BIL and SIL. I had to have emergency surgery. Called from hospital to cancel my room which was 7 days prior to arrival date which is the resorts cancelation policy with a $50. Cancelation Fee. Still fighting for full credit. Onsite person in charge has not been pleasant or helpful and refuses to give me any other contact info for owner so I can discuss and get resolved. Frustrating and sad!

Travelers beware!

In comparison to the other motels in which we stayed on our tour of New England, this one was by far the most compact.

The room was clean, but the absence of any tea/coffee making facilities or a microwave was a surprise, though in fairness, these were available at the nearby communal building.

The use of the outdoor pool was, however, much appreciated after a long day’s hiking.

We stayed two nights at the motel. Pros- It was a great location with a awesome view. Very close to Acadia and Bar harbor. The coffee station was a really nice to have. And it was clean

Con- the rooms are very small and very dated. A few updates and this could be a very nice motel.
