A charming family run business, they are super nice and helpful! 

The location is great, right next to the main square of the old city, full of cafes and souvenir shops, grocery stores etc (but careful, everything closes quite early, there’s not a lot of night life in this town, at least not in the area)

Other sightseeing spots are also walking distance.

Although, the rooms felt old, you have everything you need and it is clean.

Excellent location

The guest house has a lot of charm and the inside yard for breakfast is very nice. However the room felt very old, like staying at your grandparents place. The bathroom smelled very old. And I don't really know about the owners, they were not rude in any way but not very nice either. It did not feel like they liked having guests there, it felt like it was a lot of work for them. They should have a nice receptionist there instead.

Average guest house

The location can't be beat, as the hotel is on a small alley just off the main tourist pedestrian road in the main tourist part of town. It is not more than 100 meters away from that road, which is the path to most of the many fabulous sites of Bukhara. The staff was very accommodating and very nice. It is a family run operation. In fact, I reserved for two nights, but left after one night, and they accepted that very kindly.

I guess the easiest way to explain my low rating for the hotel is that there are so many better options available in the neighborhood. There is nothing terribly wrong with the place, but it fails to be authentic, comfortable, and appealing. The construction is not high quality, with fake wood and plastic and aluminum all over. The real wood (like the balcony railing) is falling apart and/or needs to be varnished. Even though it's not an old historic place, the building seemed to be quite worn. The pictures make it look much nicer than it is. My room was small and suffocating, though it was on the upper level and had a window. The door hardly shut and the key was not easy to work. The bathroom was fine, the AC worked, but the room barely fit the double bed and everything just seemed very used. The TV and cable box and refrigerator were not plugged in, so I had to figure out how to do that. Once I did, I discovered that the TV and cable remotes did not work (probably batteries). It was late at night, so I just changed the channels on the side of the TV with my hand. The room had a light-colored carpet that seemed dirty. I normally like to do a series of exercises at night, but didn't want to lie down on that carpet. The double bed had one side that was very caved in, though the other side was okay. While the breakfast was not terrible, it was the worst of the four hotels I stayed in during a four hotel five night trip in Uzbekistan. Wi-fi was quite weak, but that was the case in every hotel I stayed in, so no big surprise. All in all, it was the kind of place you might be happy to have if it was the only hotel in town, but it's not. There are so many others nearby in the same price range that are much better. I ended up moving to the Emir, which was of amazingly high quality in every way and only cost $10 per night more.

Ultimately disappointing and second-rate compared to the competition

Wonderful family-run guest house in an excellent location. It's the friendly and very helpful people that made this trip so much more memorable.The hotel is right in the town centre. It's a little bit secluded but at the same time very peaceful. Their recommendation for a restaurant to eat is perfect - very reasonable price with big portions; I ate there at least 4 times in 2 days. Would stay there again.

Lovely hotel in a lovely town

The hotel is very close to Lyabi House, i.e.very well located for walking around the town. The staff is friendly. The beds are comfortable which is a plus in Uzbekistan. The rooms face a courtyard. The breakfast is very good although could have some fresh fruit added.

Friendly, comfortable, great location

During my trip in Central Asia last year, this family-run guest house was the only one giving me the warm feeling at home.

Good location, just few minutes to center of old Bukhara and offer the very traditional and comfortable rooms with reasonable price. Also, Sukhrob Barzu had a very amicable leaflet supplying helpful information about the GH and the city as well.

The manager Mr. Sukhrob and his staff were so friendly, they guided us the bus route to Summer Palace of Amir and Baxouddin Naqshbandi, also helped us to arrange taxi to Khiva.

I loved their breakfasts, very delicious with fresh bread and fruit everyday.

Highly recommended for anyone wishing to stay in a quiet and comfortable guesthouse in old Bukhara.
