very interesting town of Sopron and surroundings (Old town, castles). Very difficult parking in the city center (you should always have coins). A large percentage of the people don't speak English (Hungarian are very difficult to speak.)

Old but very hospitable hotel, in a very beautiful town.

You have to buy your grocery otherwise there is no food. There is restaurant in Solar Club Hotel but I only ate once. The good part is there is an elevator! On weekends, a check in person speaks a little English so it helps. 

Very distant from city center and restaurants

Although the location of the Club Hotel is perfect, there were significant comfort deficiencies. 
Our rent was paid for 7 days, we had been informed only after our arrival, that - due to the necessary desinfection during the pandemia - we have to leave the apartment one day earlier. There wasn't any kind of compensation. Just the opposite:
When we arrived in a pretty cold day of May 2021., there wasn't heating in the apartmant, nor hot water in the tap, the fric was brocken (all our food had been frozen in the first morning). After our claim next day we received them. The cleanness of the kitchen is limited. There is gas stove over there, therefore cooking or backing consumes the oxygen, it is recommended to vent the apartment.  We missed brochures about the tourist attractions in the reception. 
Since the two single bed was located at the two walls apart, and we are a couple, and we didn't want to sleep separately, therefore we rearranged the furniture in the room. Fortunately beds were movable, and we were able to join them together. 

Good location, limited service

Nice environment in Lővérek, good air, lots of opportunities for excursion in Austria and Hungary , winter lots of skigebiet not too far, more spas with medicinal thermal water and a swimming pool in the area, many good restaurants in the area, Golden Fazan restaurant right next door with good kitchen. Spacious well equipped apartment. Good heating in the apartment. Sopron is a  a pleasant city with walking and shopping facilities. The resort is unfortunately, it is now undergoing renovation, at 7 in the morning with work noise. When this is done, it will be a good place! 

When the renovation is complete, it will be a good place!

This is a very poor standard of hotel, it is run down, appliances don't work and if you speak English only avoid it at all costs as they really only want Hungarian and German speakers here. Also you must have a car as it is away from all the tourist sites

Worn out and unfriendly

This was a weeks exchange with RCI and we were in a one bedroom unit. The unit was clean, tidy, nicely decorated, good furnishings, comfortable bed, good appliances and kitchen plus a very good air conditioning system. It also had a nice outside balcony.  SKY News in English was a bonus.  There is excellent on site parking and the grounds have beautifully established trees.
As far as the staff are concerned, the reception staff need training in welcoming guests, there is no welcoming, in fact we were treated with disdain, bordering on rudeness, especially from the male who checked us in and out.  The young women were marginally better, but really not at all interested in our queries.  The staff who emptied our rubbish bins daily were totally different, very pleasant.
We dined at the restaurant one night, which was quite an unusual experience, there was no menu, we were seated and brought a bowl of soup with vegetables, then the main meal which was a pork dish with potato.  The meal was average and we were the only people in the restaurant. 
The Wi Fi was non existent, just wouldn't work in our unit so we resorted to the Library and MacDonalds to check our emails.
Sopron is a lovely city with a very historical old centre with numerous museums and sites to visit.



COMFORTABLE FOR 2 PEOPLE.

This resort is in a lovely location, up a hill in a residential neighborhood. There are plenty of trees and it is very peaceful. If you are walking, be prepared for the uphill walk as you return to the resort each day. The unit, furnishings, and appliances are old and worn. The stove is gas and has to be lit with a match. The historic town is very interesting, and there is plenty to see to occupy several days. The staff does not speak English. On the whole, the people were welcoming, but you need a translation app. The resort restaurant is very inexpensive, fixed menu each night, hot and fresh. Check out the English Club of Sopron on Facebook. They meet Wed evenings. Very friendly people.

Peaceful place, but old and worn

Pros: the hotel is located in a hill with beautiful and quiet neighbourhood, also close to the forest and hiking trails. If you are not by car you need to get prepared to some walk-up to the hill and there is no grocery store etc. either in the area but within 15-20 minutes just by foot you could reach everything you need - many stores and shopping malls, the nice old town, the railway station etc. (and there are buses as well). Receptionists and cleaning ladies are usually nice and helpful. The little wellness room is also great, the jacuzzi is actually not working (our family used to come on a yearly basis but it did not work in the last years...) but the infrared sauna, magnetic bed and massage couch could make you relaxed. There are other offerings e.g. you can rent nordic walking poles for free for your hike etc.

Cons: our room was a regular room (standard room) which are not renovated - this means not just that the furniture is retro and cheap which is not a problem but that many thing is in a bad condition, too - dirty-spotted carpet, rusty taps in the bathroom, phone not working etc. No big deal as the bed was OK and overall the room was clean, kitchen was also OK but if you got used to "normal" stylish-modern accomodations you will find this depressing. Other thing was the WiFi...just one word, terrible! I could hardly check my personal e-mails or Google maps during the whole week, I have never experienced something like this in a hotel as Internet connection is a really basic thing in the last decade...interesting thing that after some waiting I could connect to some of the sites/systems, e.g. I needed to work on my computer for a couple of days remotely and did not have any issue with the VPN connection, also if I could finally get to Youtube somehow, the videos were not lagging at all. So this place really needs improvements including a huge renovation and just leaving behind this overall old-school, cheap, socialist style and mentality.

Beautiful location but the hotel itself really need improvements

Booked a one bedroom apartment with sparebed for my 7yr old. RECEPTIONIST put the sparebed in the room unfolded and left all of the beddings in a big bunch, REFUSED TO PUT THE COVERS ON the pillows and the duvet when I asked him to, so I HAD TO MAKE THE BED!!! The housekeeper didn't do her job and the receptionist simply said it's not his job! HE DIDN'T EVEN APOLOGISE for it! Just kept mumbling! VERY BAD ATTITUDE! VERY BAD HOSPITALITY! AND ON TOP OF IT: there was NO HOT WATER in the hotel!

I had to make the sparebed because receptionist didn't want to do housekeeping work
