Standard local hotel where you have to walk up steps from the street to the small and dated lobby. The air conditioning works and is cold, the water is hot but the bath room has lots of mold and bad lighting...like I said standard local place. No breakfast offered here. On a one way street, so be aware when ordering a car from Uber...it'll take longer. 

Ok for the night - not much else - behind tourist location

It seemed like a good idea at the time with a good rate.  In the room, I found clean appearance at first glance, but then noticed the trails of bugs crawling in the bathroom, leaking sink pipes, and blood stains under the comforter.   Not sure if all the rooms were like mine, but it was enough after one night that I don't need to go back here.  location was very good and front desk staff was helpful.  I didn't ask them to fix anything or change rooms.. under the assumption with so much wrong, the next room couldn't be any better.

there's better choices near by

I arrived in HCMC very late and do not know where to go. Luckily I met a good people he advised me this hotel. I took a taxi direct to hotel, The staff welcome us with help and smile. I have picked the last room they have. OMG it's big and so comfortable. Unfortunately I just had that room for only 1 night because the next day they were fully booked. So I was moved to their sister hotel which call Song Anh 3. Can't believe that Song Anh 3 even better. They have a great location ( near Ben Thanh market). The staff, Ms.Tam in reception and few bellman were so helpful. Thank you very much for great experience.

Great Experience

Convenient location, very near to Ben Thanh market where you can shop for all kind of products, food etc.  Room is reasonably large and come with mini bar, free WiFi and TV.  However no internal program. Local tour can be booked from the front desk at reasonable price.
Hotel is only about 30 min away from the airport by cab

Luckily I roughly know the location of this hotel when I booked it.  The taxi driver took me to Song Anh 1 Hotel instead and my friend had to redirect him.  When we reached there, only the words Song Anh Hotel was on the sign board.  I don't know what happened to the "2".  We can only confirm its the right hotel from the address.  The male guy at the reception counter was a grudge.  At first he couldn't find our reservation, then I had to point out the date etc again before he finally found it but don't seem to like it.  The rooms were just average.  As expected, you get what you paid for - cannot complain too much.  I asked the reception guy if the mineral water in the fridge is free or not and he replied drink anything you want, just pay.  I was shock at the way he replied.  Only thing good about this hotel is that it is very near Ben Thanh Market and there is a very good noodle stall just next to the hotel (road side stall).

Keep expectation low

Stayed in the hotel room 403 on 30th and 31st Dec. and checked out on 1st Jan 2013.

When out of the hotel after checking in the afternoon. During the night, I realised $ 50 Singapore dollars were missing from my pouch. My initial thought was either I misplaced or miscounted as fairly new notes does stick together for $ 500. Counted a few times to be very sure that $450 was correct this time and leave the pouch inside the zipped luggage.

When I came back to Singapore, I realised that $ 100 was stolen from my luggage.

Looking back, I answered the door knock and the cleaner passed me 2 rolls of toilet papers. The room  was tidy earlier when I was not in and the toilet does not need any papers. Felt awkward as there is no pushing cart or cleaning cart outside the corridor. The toilet papers is a deception just in case the guest is in the room. Not sure whether there were 2 cleaners tidying earlier on and  she came alone to steal when the coast is clear.  Smart and very bold indeed. 

Wrote to the management and reported to the receptionist, Miss Anh, on 2nd Jan.

Spoke to Miss Anh again on 3rd Jan, and as expected, the cleaner denied any wrongdoing.
No further action will be taken from the management.

Be warn.........the thief is still lurching inside the hotel ransacking your belongings.

Lock your luggage please.

The receptionist and security guards are friendly, it's the management I am pissed off in handling this case.
