Prepaid for a "triple" room that turned out to be a tiny, cramped attic with one full-sized bed and a small twin-sized bed. Ceiling height varied from 2meters at the door to 1.2meters over the small bed. Air conditioning, refrigerator, water heater, toilet, shower, WiFi, and fan all worked fine.  Water pressure was adequate. Hosts were friendly. Location was excellent.

Run by an amazingly friendly and helpful family. 

We stayed in room 101.

Helped organise a wonderful driver for a trip we had planned.

Nothing was too much trouble for them.

The room wasn't overly spacious but it suited our needs well.

The ceiling fan and Aircon were very quick to make the room comfortable.

There is a shared lounge between 2 rooms.

Location and price makes this great value place to stay.

We would happily stay here again and can't recommend it highly enough.

It's been a long time since we had family service like this, amazing.

My family and I stayed in the sea view rooms at the top of the spiral stair case. We really enjoyed our stay here, especially the comfy glass enclosed outdoor area. The location is close to the ocean where you can walk down the steps onto the beach and it is right amongst the restaurants. The shower has hot water and good pressure, probably one of the best we've experienced in Sri Lanka and the beds we're comfortable. The hosts are really lovely people who genuinely care about their guests and making sure that we have what we need. 

Cosy Guest House in the heart of the Forte

Located in the heart of the renowned Galle Fort, this family owned establishment provides comfortable lodging for any type of group dynamic.
We stayed at the “apartment with sea view” which easily accommodated 05 of us in one triple room and one double room each with their separate bathroom on the top floor (reached by stairs – separate entrance) and connected by a common area (exclusive for the apartment) for seating and dining.
Room and the bathroom was immaculate – Air conditioning, bedding, hot water was perfect and most importantly - functioning.
Let me stress that the best part of this home stay/ guest house is not the accommodation but the hosts. They are kind, helpful and generous who made our stay much more productive and memorable.
They went out of their way to arrange us a tour to “Matara” (a nearby city), accompanied us to the bus station and even bought us snacks for the journey home.
Highest recommendation possible.

Comfortably Southern...

My lovely wife and I spent two nights at this guesthouse when visiting Galle. The location is excellent, being right in the heart of the old city. But other than that, there's really very little reason to recommend it. 

We stayed in a family room with sea view. It's one of two rooms located at the top of a narrow spiral staircase so wouldn't be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. The room came with a double bed & a single bed. It is designed for three people but felt cramped with just the two of us in there. This isn't helped by the sloping ceiling that drops to around 5 feet high at one side of the room. 

The room itself was tired and in desperate need of modernisation. The mattresses are thin & uncomfortable while the towels & linen are well beyond their best before date. At least the air conditioning is effective.

The bathroom is really small too. The rather archaic shower did, however, manage to generate hot water once you cranked it up. 

While the room was clean, I certainly wouldn't describe our stay as a comfortable one. We've been in Sri Lanka for four weeks now and at around 5,000 rupees per night this is one of the most expensive of the ten places we have stayed so far. It is also undoubtedly among the worst. Of course, you pay a premium for being in the old city but guesthouses really must do better than this.

The location is good but the guesthouse is overpriced & overrated

Very friendly, loved the rooftop place with sea view and a little lounge area with amenities, vfm an absolute find, made our stay in galle perfect.
Clean, neat and super attentive, friendly and helpful owner family.


Great family owned guesthouse, hidden away in bustling fort area

Stayed 2 nights here. The lovely couple who own it go out of their way to make sure you are well settled and have everything you need. Fantastic location,  safe and near everything. Room was so cute had a.c. fan hot water spotlessly clean with a sea view and a patio to sit in to have a cup of tea. I was kindly given a lift to train with a packed lunch to send me on my way. Hospitality 200%. Highly recommend.

Lovely welcoming home!

I spent 2 nights in the “Triple Room with Sea View”, which is located on the top floor and reached by an iron spiral staircase. The room was very clean and although located in a historic house, it is outfitted with modern amenities - quiet AC unit, fan, fridge, hot shower, adequate lighting, and plenty of power points for charging electronics. I love the fact that this room has a personality of its own, quite unlike a typical hotel room. The pictures I had seen don't do it justice - it's a beautiful room. The two rooms on the top floor share an outdoor lounge with a sink, kettle, and tea and coffee. Wifi was slow but reliable. Location of the guesthouse is excellent, with many restaurants and shops nearby. I truly enjoyed chatting with the hostess, a very kind and interesting woman. A very pleasant stay! 



Very enjoyable stay

Stayed at this hotel for 5 nights , although it is a tiny space , the rooms were clean , AC worked fine and as advertised. Ideally this hotel is a great place to rest and recover. It can't afford you the luxury of lounging around or balconies with top class views . 
 
The Hotel is run by Mr. Marikkar who's very helpful with his travel advice , very helpful and accommodative.

Affordable ,

If you are looking for a homely stay hosted by the most generous hosts, thus is the place you are up to. The views from the patio and also from the room were nice. Very close to the restaurants and to fort wall. Even though it was hot outside, it was cold inside the house. Definitely recommended.
