This hotel is in a very nice location, good place , clean .
You can enjoy the amazing Galle city , have a lots small shopping, coffee and a incredible sunset .
I recommend this hotel if you want spend time in Galle. 

We stayed couple of nights in this hotel with my family 
Very nice hotel situated in very good location.The hotel amenities are very good,,attached bathrooms,air conditioning,hot water,,,very large rooms,,the staffs are kind and helpful.Have car parking,,breakfast available on request.The beds are comfortable and clean.Have nets to protect you from Mosquitoes,,but I didn’t find any mosquito 
Or insects in the entire hotel.

Very friendly staff and very friendly and professional manager. Very flexible with our requirements in terms of stay and food. Good food and good rooms. Nice Ocean view in deluxe rooms with private balcony. Worth the money.

The hotel si clean, with best breakfast around. People working at this Place help you with what ever you may wish. Wi-Fi goes really fast. The location si The best for walk in The fort. Hotel si nicely furnished.

Really kind staff

This hotel is closer to the fort entrance, which is nice, less noisy and crowded than the fort hub that are full of tourists. But it is still a very convenient locatio.  It is also closer to the seaside (though the fort area is not large and this apply to many accommodations ).  So if possible one can get out as early as 6am and take terrific pictures around the shore. The serenity and dawn light are much better than day time afterwards when it is full of people and under the heat.

The manager,  Ashoka, has been around for one year, but absolutely friendly, polite, and helpful. He greeted us all the time and has all the transport information and options we want to know for our next stop, and also initiate to call for confirmation etc. 

We got a family room with 1 double bed and 1 single bed. The space is fine. Shower sometimes a bit weak but no problem overall. We are happy for the stay.


Good location and Staff

Relaxing Stay with easy access  and god restaurants around.  we have stayed very  calm and quite environment. Basic Breakfast but for us is more than enough. Rooms are clean and neat. There are some nice antiques around. All the hotel staff are very friendly and cooperative.  I like the hotel because it was a old house with ancient dutch architecture

Perfect location for Cricket fans a 150 mtrs from the Galle Stadium,
Rooms were 100% the breakfast was delicious and plentyful, the staff were extremely helpful, steered by a very competent Manager..

Finally, right in the Middle of the The Unesco World Heritage site Historic Dutch Fort. Fantastic history of my Forefathers from the Nederlands

Perfect

I had some other hotel arrangements fall through so had a taxi take me to a 3 star hotel in Galle Fort. This is where he took me. The manager booked me in for a two night stay. Once I was settled, I checked pricing online. I was charged just about double the online rate. My fault I suppose, but I was pretty unhappy about it. The manager offered a "discounted" rate to extend my stay (normal online booking rate). I declined his offer.

The rooms are pretty basic but ok. The beds offer mosquito netting, which I advise be used. I got quite a few bites the first night. As for the pros... the breakfast was nice and portions plentiful. The staff were accommodating and helpful.

And the cons....The place could use some maintenance.  The hardware fell out of the locking mechanism for the deck sliding door.  This made it impossible to secure the door against entry. The deck was accessible to anyone, so I didn't get a great feeling about leaving anything of value in the room. Also, there was no hot water. Unfortunately, there was no wifi in the guest room. You had to go to the lobby or communal TV viewing area for internet.  

There are other places near that are better value.



Sunset Fort. Can use some improvements. 

I agree with the review written by Wondering Sally. I had a so called deluxe double. Definitely not what I understand by Deluxe and a very small double. The bathroom was also very small and had no light..only a wire in the ceiling. The fan and a/c were fine. WiFi lousy...kept cutting out. 
On the positive side it was quiet and the garden view was pleasant. But there was a room directly above that has a better sea view and might be in better condition than the one I had.
Friendly and helpful staff but no information about the town.. A street map would have bern nice..has Google supplanted all that ?(I'm not keen on spending a fortune on roaming fees)

Small room which needs attention in good location

Galle Fort, in general, is a beautiful place to explore on foot, about 7kms along the perimeter of the fort. The hotel is right inside the fort which makes it convenient. 

The room cost (bed and breakfast) was quite high considering the size and the type of breakfast selection we got (eggs, fruits, and tea/coffee). I believe there are much better places either within or outside the Fort that offer better value. Keep in mind that Galle Fort is generally an expensive area compared to the rest of Sri Lanka due to its heightened tourist nature. 

We got to walk in Galle town and explored the markets and ended up buying some authentic spices and tea which was great.
