The Hollies is a great guest house run by David and Joe. The Chinese room had an adjacent shower and the room was cosy and warm. Joe makes a fab breakfast and it was a pleasure to stay there. The entrance is in Hatfield Road and it is a bit hard to find at the small entrance gate leads to the garden and building entrance. It is a 15 minute walk into Bath but there are 2 buses in to town. We recommend this cosy place.

15 minute walk into town, but great guest house

This is a great bed and breakfast. Tasty breakfast served in the morning (with homemade preserves, no less!) and the owners are friendly and helpful with great knowledge of the area. Bath is a short walk from The Hollies, very well located. I'd love to return when I'm next in Bath.

Great location, great rooms, lovely owners

What can we say.....
A lovely Victorian styled large house,full of interesting antiquities every where you looked,our room was lovely as was the dining room with its big dinning table where all the guests (6) sat for a great breakfast ( best scrambled eggs ever ). Our hosts David and Jo are true gentlemen and made us feel very welcome,two lovely people.
Everything was provided in our room which was very clean and neat as was the large bath room we had.
Amazing place to stay,we will be back !

Christmas stay in Bath

We made our fist visit to Bath this month and are so glad we chose the Hollies as our place to stay.

We are a family who stayed in the Indian (twin) and Chinese (double) rooms. The house is filled with many very interesting and beautiful antiques, but is also very homely. Our beds were very comfy and the rooms well furnished, with tea and coffee making facilities, chairs and magazines.It really felt like we could go "home" to relax after a hard days sight seeing.

The location is also good, about a twenty minute stroll from the town centre (a very picturesque walk) and close to a lovely Gastropub and a small supermarket. The views of the church and garden from both our rooms were also lovely.

David and Joe were very friendly and welcoming hosts. They obviously love Bath and were so knowledgeable, being able to make some really great recommendations (particularly for places to eat!) which really added to our visit.

The Hollies also does a lovely home cooked breakfast, with lots of different options. We particularly enjoyed the delicious homemade marmalade! 
All in all, thank you for a wonderful stay, we would definitely visit again and recommend The Hollies very highly.

A wonderful stay, highly recommended

Just had a short break in Bath to see the Christmas markets.  David and Joe were fabulous hosts, our room was very comfortable and excellently equipped.  The cooked breakfast was a very welcome treat.  Would thoroughly recommend at stay at The Hollies.

Excellent stay in Bath

We loved staying at The Hollies. David and Joe are perfect hosts. This guest guest house feels very homely as it contains an eclectic collection of art and artefacts from around the world. The attention to detail regarding facilities and service was brilliant. We even had a tea cosy for the teapot in our room and a click radio.
Breakfast was lovely and sociable as the guests Sat around the large dining table. Would love to stay again. Thank you for our lovely stay.

Unique, with parking and a nice walk into Bath

The most friendly and accommodating hosts I have ever had in a fascinatingly well decorated house. Breakfast was impeccably made and presented. I will fondly remember my stay there for many years to come.

Like a little stately home


The Hollies is situated a 15 minute walk from the centre of Bath. It is uphill so not for the faint hearted but it is on a bus route.
The house is old and full of character and charm.
Run by David and Joe who are very charming and well travelled gentlemen, the house is full of photos and memorabilia from their travels.
A cooked breakfast is offered along with a choice of cereals and fresh fruit.
The homemade jams and marmalades are delicious and are available to buy.
All 6 guests sit together at the one dining table.
If you don't like being sociable first thing then this could be awkward. 
All in all the Hollies is a friendly and comfortable place to stay. 
The only negative is the room we stayed in was adjacent to the road and as it was warm we needed the windows open so we got traffic noise throughout the night. 
A charming B&B


Superb

Our hosts, David and Jo could not have been more welcoming or helpful. The house is situated in a delightful small garden and rooms are quiet. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. The bus service is excellent into town, which is helpful since parking in Bath is almost impossible and expensive. The buses run from just around the corner and go every few minutes.
