We stayed in this accommodation for 4 nights and we really enjoyed there.
We had a family room which was spacious and cosy. 
Everything was clean,  the bathroom big enough. There is no bathtub or shower tub in the bathroom, but this is frequent and usual in Vietnam. At first it was strange to us because Hanoi was our first stop. 
The room had a small balcony overlooking the busy street. It was interesting sitting on the balcony and looking onto the street all those motorbikes loaded with stuff of people:)
Although the guesthouse is in the busy street it does not disturb you while sleeping as isolation is great. No sound from the street in the room.
Breakfast was ok, you choose it from the menu. There is a variety of Vietnamese and European kind of breakfast. Coffee is free all the time.
But the best thing about the Friends Inn and Travel is their staff. They were so nice, hospitable, helpful. We really felt great, welcomed and safe. 
We even booked a day trip to Tam Coc via their agency and it was wonderful. It was the best day trip we had in Vietnam. It was almost private, full of different activities, very educative, interesting and not too exhausting as we were travelling with our 7 year daughter.
I would definitely recommend this accommodation because you have everything here; it is in the centre, there are nice and clean  rooms, great staff and agency as well so you can organize some of your trips.

The staff here are awesome and really made my stay (Kevin in particular is amazing!). Throughout my stay in Vietnam I think they were the most friendly I met. The room was adequate- I didn't realise though that my room wouldn't have a window. However I went to another hotel as well and I think it is very common for the rooms not to have windows. The shower was a little basic and was a wet room without a support high enough for the shower head annoyingly. The breakfast provided was lovely. Would definitely recommend staying here as a traveller. I also did book a trip to Ha Long Bay with them. It was a basic tour- although did use the highway to get there (so much faster would definitely recommend taking tours that use it), although the food on the boat was quite basic and very little commentary on the boat itself. But value for the trip was good.

Staff are great- watch out for the rooms without windows!

Friends Inn and Travel is a hotel, hostel and also a travel agency to book tours, buses and private taxis. They have a sister hotel Brothers Inn and Travel too. We stayed in Friends Inn when we come to Hanoi for 2 nights and Brothers Inn when we left for 1 night. The location is very central to everything and the employees are all so friendly and helpful. Kevin was very lovely and helped us alot through out our stay, especially with our very heavy luggages. We also reccomend the smile restaurant in front of the brothers inn. Thank you for your hospitality to each and every one to make our stay wonderful.

Lovely stay

My three friends and I stayed at this hostel last week. 

We met Kevin upon arrival. I cannot stress how helpful Kevin was to us. He recommended great places to see and eat around the bustling city of Hanoi. He also organised a day trip Ninh Binh, a home stay in Sa Pa and also a 2 day/ 1 night cruise in Ha Long bay. 

The hostel was clean, nice and very reasonably priced. But we put our amazing Hanoi experience down to Kevin's  local knowledge and friendly smile. Nothing was ever too much to ask for any of the staff.

Made our Vietnam trip so special

Four Irish girls who visited Hanoi city Vietnam with no plans other than this hostel booked as our accommodation. We LOVED the staff they were so helpful. 

Kevin was amazing and from the moment we arrived he gave us the best recommendations and booked us all of our day trips and travel plans for us and we loved everything we did. Kevin made our experience in Vietnam memories we will cherish forever❤️ we left friends inn with Kevin as a forever friend!

Perfect location! Our reception was wonderful, we asked for tips on how to get to the best places to visit in this area of the Old Quarter, on our second day we were indicated day tour to Muá Cave and Tam Coc was a super beautiful and tasty day! On arrival from the street and the tours, Kevin is always cheerful with a beautiful smile on his face and always helpful! We love our stay in Hanoi!

It's perfect.

The hotel was super wet and our room had no window. The whole room and beds were constantly wet. I let you imagine the feeling with the AC on. People at the hotel were nice but smiles dont make you sleep tight. Photos are photoshoped as hell. The food is barely acceptable. And for the price you can find so much better in a second.

Don't go there by all costs

We had a great value 1 night stay at Friends Inn  & lovely breakfast . Great staff especially Joy who organised a fabulous overnight cruise at Halong Bay at short notice . The cruise was fabulous & Joy was so helpful in every way . 

Great little hostel & travel agency 

We have a very great stay! Kevin help us a lot during our stay, they also work as a travel agency, can help us tour book tour, bus to traveling around Hanoi. It was a fun trip! We really love it here, and Kevin is so great :) hope to visit again!!!

Good hotel & travel agency

Goood job Kevin! He did a good job giving us great service, and he is also a travel agency. He introduced a lot of good places to have fun in Vietnam. The most important is you can book a trip to any other place nearby with good price.
