This place is very nice and the hosts are wonderful (my son talked to them for so long and they listened 🤣) it is a short walk from the train station. The rooms are nice, clean and they have a kettle so you can have your coffee/tea in the room. 

Very welcoming

What a great place to stay for our 4 night break in Whitby. Only a short walk away from the beach or the town. We were made very welcome on arrval and shown where to park the car with the free parking ticket.
Our room was very clean and comfortable with lovely decor and furnishings. We had a lovely view of the Abbey, in the distance from our bedroom window.
A comfy bed and great shower ticked the essentials boxes 
Breakfast was very good  especially the home made granola.
Deborah and her staff were lovely and made us feel very welcome. 

We have already booked for our next visit and definitely recommend stopping here.

The owners were ever so warm, welcoming and friendly. They have plenty of pamphlets for things to see and do around Dover. 

Would have to say, we forgot to mention mention that my mum isn’t the best with climbing stairs, so room wasn’t really ideal being on the 3rd floor, but we still managed.

Breakfast was lovely and filling, with plenty options of cereal and/or cooked breakfast. 

Overall, a 9 out of 10 star stay (deduction only for the stair situation, which we take full accountability for)

Laz and Des were the perfect hosts. They were very friendly and tentative. The room was modern and very comfortable. Would certainly stay again

The hosts are wonderful and full of information about Dover and its history. The breakfast was cooked to order and they use high quality fresh ingredients. The guest house is a short walk from the train station, but Google directions take you on an indurect path to get there. As you exit the station look to the right to see a set of stairs. The guest house is at the top of those stairs. If you have large bags follow the Google directions. I would highly recommend.

Wonderful Hosts - Great Location

The room had everything it needed, even a small tea station. We really enjoyed our stay there for one night before a cruise. The owner's were very helpful, as soon as we entered the house they offered to order a car for the next morning to get to the port.
I had read online beforehand that it is quite difficult to get a car to the port, but they managed to get us the exact time we wanted. 
The room and the bathroom were very clean and comfortable. The location was very nice, close enough to the seaside to take a walk down there. There was a great view of the castle from outside the hotel. 
I will stay there again before my next cruise leaving Dover.

Amazing stay

We could not have been happier with the service. The room was spotless. breakfast was well prepared and delicious. The owner took the time to give us information and directions to interesting places and restaurants around Dover.

Kind and helpful owner

We stayed here the night before getting the ferry and were glad we did. Laz and his wife were very welcoming, the room was spotless, the bed was comfy, and the breakfast was excellent. 

We booked here specifically because the listing mentioned secure off road parking. That was a little bit of a faff at first, but Laz was very accommodating and it worked well in the end. There is however on street parking available too if you don’t *need* secure parking.

One tip I would advise is to book direct with the owners. We didn’t - we booked through a third party site - and it turned out breakfast wasn’t included and there was an extra cost involved. It was still good value overall, but we didn’t realise until after the booking was complete that there would be the extra cost. 

Other than that, a great place to stay, good location (not far to walk to local pubs etc) and just two mins from the ferry port.

The room was of a reasonable size, spotless clean and the interior design was really tasteful and lovely.
The city centre can be reached by foot (5 min). The owners are so nice and welcoming!
If we are in the area again we’ll definitely book this b&b again!

Great B&B

Like B&Bs, it's pretty simple, but the Norman Guest House offers a great deal of charm. The hosts are incredibly friendly, hospitable and helpful. Breakfast is not to be missed, it's top-notch. The family room is small but decorated with love. That's why it's only five stars. But it's also super situated. In five minutes on foot you can reach the centre of Dover, which looks a bit tired and seems to be living from the past. But Dover Castle, the White Cliffs and the harbour are absolute highlights of a trip to England.
