The Port Hotel

Today at 1 am I was standing outside of the entrance of this hotel, on the pedestrian walk, trying to catch an uber, but my 3g connection was really slow. I asked an employee of the hotel if I could have the password but he said "only customers", I said OK.
After a couple of minutes, he asked me to leave the pedestrian walk outside of the hotel, I said that it was a public place and I was calling an Uber in that exact location, I had no reason to leave that place, but since he complained that much I moved 2 meters away. 
I stayed there for another 15 minutes trying to catch an uber and suddenly I found myself surrounded by 5 Turkish policemen, they searched my backpack, my pocket, my body and treated me like a criminal and I think then they asked me to go home, of course, they didn't speak English but somehow I think that they realized that this employee of the hotel called the police for nothing and ruined the night to a tourist that wasn't doing anything bad. People at this hotel are the opposite of the typical Turkish hospitality and they are cancer for tourism in this city, I'm looking for a way to do a formal complaint because I really can't accept what is appended to me last night because of that hotel.

The worst people in Instanbul

Nice hotel ,good and clean room & bath room ,  3 minuets from yanicapi metro station and 5 minuets from Aksray tram , BiM store front of the hotel with cheap prices , I reserved room with 200 tl for the day , I recommend this nice hotel and nice location

I did a lot of search choosing this hotel .  This is a 3 star hotel so you shouldnt expect much . Rooms and lobby are clean . Room was cleaned everyday . . Room was small but this is typical for Istanbul . 
The best thing about hotel is location which is 5 minutes walk from metro .and 10 minutes walk to aksaray tramway station . We walked to grand bazar which is 30 minutes . 
 We had free wifi in the room all the time . 
  The street which the hotel is located  is not very nice .  It is full of shops selling car parts . 

 Overally the hotel is ok if you are just looking for a clean room  and are out of hotel most of  the time .

Port hotel

about 10 minutes walk to the metro and two  or three station to the old area(aya sofia, soltam ahmed, top capi) and shopping area 
the room is not bad for the price staff is hospitality, english is ok,limited breakfast but totaly ok

Comparing with previous reviews, must say that in my opinion the personnel was ok and try to be helpful. At first I have received the nasty room on the -1 floor, but the personnel didn't make problems to change it. The second room was much better - even with the view on the Bosporus :) Hotel is located near metro station and tramway lines (5 min walk) and about 20 -30 minutes walk from Sultanahment. However it is not a most prestigious are of Istanbul, or not even close to it, so coming back late at night might be not very comfortable. The rooms were clean with quite new furnitures. The breakfast not big variety, but was decent.

Quite decent hotel

I spent 3 days in and hotel with my wife. The hotel is located in a rotten district of Istanbul 20 minutes walk from the tram station of Aksaray. I had a great communication problem with the reception because no one understands English or French. So my passport was given to a courier who showed me the hotel without my consent and who blackmailed me for 100 Tl to move me to the hotel. This person took the name #mahmoud#m made it look all the colors he works with a travel agency whose name is m echape manager who is avoided. I kept you informed of the name once I remembered it. In the big hotel room there is a nice little lunch that the average person has. The calms and the legs are almost absent but the staff of the hotel and the staff are very quiet

Location desirable / rooms worthy of a 3-storey

The hotel is great to reach from the airport by metro. It was best to go from the airport to the metro and then from the metro to the tram and get out of Aksaray. The hotel is okay, although very bright. You can easily get everything with you! Breakfast is not worth mentioning, but it's not necessary in the great city. The area is quite dark and dangerous! The advantage was that from the metro station, Aksaray, you could walk on the busy street and then turn to the right of the 4th and it's only 3 minutes to the hotel. It was absolutely worth it in the area. (I was traveling alone and the gold price was worth it). The family-least ratio is right. However, due to the opposite price, the hotel was not considered suitable and if you had to go to a hotel in Istanbul, you would have to go to a fully open air conditioner and I could hardly get out of the hotel because I was so afraid to go to the hotel with a balcony and I was so afraid to go to the hotel with a balcony, and if you had to go to the HRS, you would have to stop at the hotel.

All right, stay overnight. Be careful around here.

We were at this so-called The Port Hotel in September, we booked about her. I had to experience some discomfort, so anyone booking at this hotel should not be fooled before and after care.

More insecure area

We were at the Port Hotel in Istanbul in September 2011 in Aksaray the situation was not very good because you are in the middle of a red tell. If you need to sleep in the middle of the street, that's good but if you want to wait for something, then that's a mistake.

The hotel is well maintained and is convenient for visiting the city: on one side passes the train and on the other the metro which arrives at the most interesting points of the city. From the hotel you can also easily reach some areas. The rooms are new, with parquet and clean. The staff is welcoming.
