Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. We were there for four nights and three days of the four the elevator was not working. Very difficult when you have to walk up and down from the 6th floor especially when my husband has mobility issues. We were scheduled to check out by 11:00 am and guess what water to our room was turned off by 9:15 am.  They boast about a coffee shop and restaurant on site - they were not open our entire stay. Not sure if these problems was a result of the time of year (low season) or not. We did find out that the elevator was under maintenance for a new cable - safety issues. 

On a positive note - it is close to the local market and city centre so you can walk back and forth without taking a taxi. Close to all amenities as well - local street food, bars, coffee shops, pharmacy etc. 

Satisfactory Hotel

The owner of this hotel agreed at 1200k for 2 nights which is 600k per night, after 2 nights we decided to stay another night just because we can not book any bus to come back, the reception lady only said ok and nothing else. When we checked out, they asked us to pay 3600k which is 1200k per night. I told them the owner agreed at 600k not 1200k, and they called the owner and told her like we did not wanted to pay bla bla. After 10 minutes of argument, they said they will charged us 1200k 2 nights and the third night will be 1200k total of 2400k. I mean, wth??? Why didn’t they told us at the beginning? Anyways, we feels like we got robbed by this hotel. Will never come back here again. Room so tiny and so noisy outside.

Overcharged, feels like robbing customers

The hotel is near the market. I just need 5-6 minutes to walk to the market. The room is good with full amenities and rather clean. The breakfast is ok, you can have delicious food but you don't have various choice. The big disadvantage of this hotel is that the corider is quite dark. It doesn't have any lights so that you cannot see clearly the way to go. Another disadvantage is that it's very noisy in the corrider, especially at night. Until 11pm, it's still noisy and I cannot sleep.

Affordable price - Average service

Although the hotel near central city, nice receptionists.... it really was a terrible hotel to me. It was too noisy!! Everyone walking or talking outside, we in the room can hear them, all day and all night also. We can't sleep well at all. 
Breakfast was normal. Motorbike for rent was ok.

Terrible hotel

Front desk personnel was sleep at therein entrance sofa. Rented a motorbike from the hotel which kept breaking down and hotel refuse to help. Overall just terrible hotel to stay in. Never coming back.

Terrible service and rooms

We checked in early - but for a price. The room was reasonably big with a very ugly, but comfy bed. The bathroom was dreadful, separated by a glass wall which left nothing to the imagination and caused condensation on a biblical scale. And, even in town, on the 6th floor there conspired to be the usual mad, insomniac rooster! So far, so good/ normal. 
Views were good but nothing quite prepared us for the awfulness of the 7th, is it 8th, floor dining area that doubles as a ? Disco.
Straight out of 1982 the hideousness really has to be seen at first hand. It is like a particularly unpleasant flying, stinging insect that has been caught in Amber and preserved for ever. 
It is probably not possible to do justice with mere words to the awfulness that was the breakfast (not included!). The order was all wrong, the food terrible and even a prolonged telephone call to the Reception staff failed to produce any degree of comprehension from the various staff. Almost funny it was so bad. Almost. 
Reception staff were very nice and they chased up our laundry but it was expensive. 
To be fair, it was very cheap and perfectly acceptable for that price but I did just want to shared the 7th, or was it 8th, floor with the world.

Comfy bed but......

Stayed Here as a last minute booking as everywhere was full.  We paid for two rooms and three contrast was so different as one room was huge and the other do small with no balcony.   Didn't bother querying as only staying for one night. Clothes were damp in the morning but think this is due to the area of the  town and not hotel.   Breakfast. ..dont bother.   Nothing for westerners!  Coffee even awful.   Wouldn't come back.  Great views from bar but noisy when people leaving if your room is near the entrance.  Staff Seemed A Bit aloof?

Just ok

We stopped at this hotel for two nights. It's absolutely clean and tidy. What should be especially mentioned is the absolute willingness of the staff to help! The lady at the bus station made a mistake and booked the wrong bus for us. The ladies at the reception set all the levers in motion and paid off the misfortune.

It's all good!

We came across our late-night search for a place to sleep at the Gardenia Hotel. We took an extra expensive hotel ($10 a night per person) which as a backpacker is not so obvious since we had a 250km trip on a motorbike behind us and wanted to sleep well. First impression was generally good, even though there were no other guests at the hotel.

Avoid if you want to sleep so

This hotel, which is also known as Hotel Gadenia, offers spacious rooms. However, they are very noisy because apart from the noise of the street, there is a lot of indoor noise from 5 to 6 a.m. onwards. The staff does not speak English. Even less pleasant when we left we felt that the handwritten note was artificially inflated.
