If you are looking for a hotel where the rooms smell like rotting dog flesh, the beds are like marble slabs, there’s plenty of unwanted noise, and the staff are totally rude and indifferent, look no further than this dump.   When I checked in the desk clerk was very terse and made me feel like I was intruding.  He became even more inpatient with me as I simply asked him how to use the keys worked as I had never seen a security system like this anywhere.  When I entered the room the pungent odour was overpowering!!!!  NO ATTEMPT has been made in recent years to clean or update this place.  Peel paint was everywhere.  The carpet predates me and I just turned 51.  Aside from the bed, there was one stacking-type of desk chair with ONE ARM MISSING as the only other piece of furniture to sit on.  But when I took as shower after I checked in, the stupid fire alarm went off and holy crud was it loud!!!!  SO when I called the front desk, it took the guy 20 minutes to come to my room and by that time, I guess the alarm stopped by itself because I know he sure as shxx didn’t turn it off.  When I asked if I could get a new room or a partial refund for this massive inconvenience, he said “NO”.  He says that they have had lots of problems with this room and from what I can tell, they have no immediate plans to correct this death trap.  He simply instructed me to keep the bathroom door closed because apparently, the steam sets the alarm off.  Same thing happened again after my shower in the morning.  When I pay $120 for a hotel room, I would expect that I won’t have to worry about friggin fire alarms going off at any time of the night!!!!  I am sure it would interest the local fire department that such important lifesaving devices are malfunctioning on a regular basis in this hole.  oH YEAH, THE INTERNET DOESN'T WORK AT ALL.  So do yourself a favour and stay the blank away from this crap box.

STAY WAY FROM THIS DUMP!!!!

This place is absolutely filthy! There were spiders in several corners, the carpet was sticky and especially dirty around the perimeter, the walls were dirty, the shower was stained, and the bedside clock was covered in sticky dust.... At least the sheets appeared to be clean, and we found no bedbugs (we checked very thoroughly based on the overall lack of cleanliness). We had to stay the night because there were no rooms available anywhere else that would accept pets. No internet available in the morning. Several people from neighbouring rooms were  standing on the front steps in the rain trying to get wifi. We booked another hotel in Ottawa ($40.00 per night cheaper and much cleaner) and checked out as soon as the office opened, mentioning all of the above dirt and the lack of internet, and the office staff just mumbled some vague excuses..... We were 10 days on the road, staying in six different hotels, and this one was BY FAR the WORST, and charged the highest rate.

FILTHY.

I pulled in very late (around 12 ) to a phone outside the door that said “ring for service” so I did. It took about 5 minutes for someone to answer, this didn’t bother much I was exhausted and just wanted a room. After chatting with the gentleman behind the front desk I was directed to my room, which reeked  of cigarettes and sweat. The walls were yellow from not being washed. Blood stains on the sheets. I asked for a refund and to go to a different hotel after 15 mins of being there, the man up front told me “he can’t, he’ll do it in the morning, which didn’t help my case so I asked for a different room. As I walked into a different room I was immediately greeted by something small scurrying across the floor by the chair what was stained with god knows what. I knew right away I wasn’t going to get my money back so I bit the bullet and slept fully clothed, shoes and all, and with the lights on. All night I heard moans and bed creaking. Which lead to about 4 hours of sleep after a 10 hour drive. I constantly thought my car was going to get broke into. I wish I would have slept in a parking lot inside my car over this place.  Do not go here even if it’s the last place to get a room. If you have space in your car, sleep there.

Probably the worst motel in Canada

We had to book something last minute for a night.
We came with a red eye flight, had previously called to make sure it would be ok to check in after mid night, the person working at that time said it was no problem.
We got to the hotel and the employee made comment about us being so late and he was quite rude.
Finally get to our room, it was filthy, the air was moggy, mold on the shower curtain, stains on the window curtains, no hot water in the morning, towels were old, stained and already damp from the room air.
I am not one to care about the decoration or the size of the room, but the owner and manager of this place should be ashamed to ask money for these filthy rooms.
Avoid this place at cost.

Nightmare

I should have read reviews before booking this motel! After checking into our room and getting our two small children and dogs settled, we were sitting on one of the beds and found a pipe under the covers. When addressing our concerns to the front desk staff they only offered a clean sheet to change the bedding and couldn't move us to another room because there were no more pet friendly rooms available. Of course after this, we did not feel comfortable having our family stay in this room. When asking the front desk for a refund they simple refused and told us to come back the next day to speak to the manager, who also refused to refund our money. There reasoning is because we were checked into our room longer than 30 minutes so we were required to pay the full amount. I would never recommend for anyone to stay here.

Horrible Experience

This was a last minute booking due to travel issues. This was the only hotel left in the area :( Turned the tv on and it didn't turn on, found out that it wasn't plugged in so I did at the nearest plug...that doesn't work. They did have multiple extension cords so I wrangled something up. The electrical plug for the outdated hairdryer doesn't work. The bathroom requires an upgrade as its chipped, scratched, dirty and just not friendly. If you have an option find somewhere else to stay. The only good thing that I have to say about the hotel is that it is walking distance to a drug store and various types of restaurants for the trapped traveller.
