Hostal Victoria II

Hostel Victoria II is excellent. It's my family's second time staying here. The location is amazing - right on Puerta Del Sol and extremely close to the train station. The windows/doors help insulate the room from the street noise although at New Year's that's a little hard to do! The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms and building are very clean. I highly recommend Hostel Victoria II!

Excellent Hostel in a Great Location

The accommodation is located next to the very central plaza puerta do sol very convenient to walk around the entire central part of the city, near metro station, shops, restaurants, bars, etc. etc. etc. Our apartment was located on the 5th and last floor served by elevator and overlooked an inner courtyard, so it was very quiet. The apartment was really small, the space of 2 single beds and little more, but I think that are so most of the accommodations in Madrid.

Visiting Madrid

The room is very spacious, with a wonderful view directly on Puerta del Sol and equipped with all the comforts: hair dryers, refrigerators, air conditioning, panoramic balcony. Excellent daily cleaning, comfortable beds and courteous staff. Excellent quality-price ratio. Given the central location, you pay a little for the night's scotch not entirely relaxing due to the noises from the Puerta del Sol. I will definitely reconsider the Hostal Victoria for future trips to Madrid.

Ideal location in the centre of Madrid

Genial, very attentive and facilitating everything to the client. In particular Ivana, she helped us a lot with the stay and everyone in general.

Genius is a genius.

Full center, 24-hour reception, daily cleaning, hot water and room with perfect heating for January (in my case).The only drawback was the nighttime noise of doors and other guests (second floor).

Centric is central.

Check-in was fine. After check-in we had to leave the building and walk some 30 meters to another building. Not a problem but a bit different to what I am used to. Room was small but clean with a comfortable bed. Bathroom small but modern. There was a small refrigerator there. The room is actually perfect if you just need to sleep there and want to enjoy Madrid. It's not a luxury hotel at all but fine for sleeping and a nice shower. Good wifi. Aircon and TV as well in the room.

Clean and cheap 

The room is small but for the rest, the price-quality ratio is very good for Madrid:exceptional location, cleanliness, facilities, quiet room on the courtyard).

Not bad.

We stayed here for 1 night.  You do have to check in at Hostal Victoria 1 but it is literally a couple of minutes away from Hostal Victoria 2. This wasn’t a problem at all. The hotel is Old style but it’s perfectly fine it was very clean, yes it was small but we were only sleeping in the room didn’t spend hardly any time in there as was a shopping & sightseeing trip. Beds were really comfy and the room had central heating.  There was a fridge on the room, A safe and Toiletries.   It is Located right in the city surrounded by loads and loads of shops and places to eat and 5 mins to Gran Via.  It is right by the train station too. We had a room with balcony overlooking the square it’s so lovely at Christmas time as your looking right on to the Xmas tree. It was busy on the street but it didn’t keep us awake or bother us in the night we slept great. Yes you do have to ring a buzzer to get in the building and to get in to your landing but this is good the hotel is in an apartment block like many others so this is for security and to stop people who aren’t staying here getting in. There is CCTV to let you in when you ring the buzzer. Didn’t find this a problem at all and could always get in the hotel when pressing the buzzer.  Hotel had WI-FI too. Great all round hotel and amazing location. Would definitely stay here again. :)

Brilliant City Hotel

Stayed in the Hostal Victoria II for two nights, arriving on a Saturday. Room small but very clean and tidy with en-suite bathroom.  Great location for exploring the city, really central. Plenty of restaurants near by to suit all needs. 

It is in an area of the city that never sleeps, so don’t expect total peace and quite!

Generally excellent value for money. 

Long weekend in Madrid 

+ The best part of the hotel is that it's in the middle of the city and the price is WiFi - The worst thing we had to do was go to Victoria 1 to take the key in the closet with a living spoon, the dirty savannah, the well-folded and dirty towel and the gray bathroom ceiling and the worst part of the subway noise is heard as if it were an earthquake and the noise of the neighbors who are up tomorrow at eight o'clock washing their face and calling the receptionist and if soon a little attention is given to the quality of what you are talking about.
