BEWARE, IT’S A SCAM !!! THIS IS NOT THE ADRESS NOR THE PICTURES OF REAL APARTMENT!
-	They gave me DIFFERENT ADDRESS claiming that I should receive keys there (and go to the actual apartment I booked), but it tourns out tat this is actual apartment, so it was the first lie!
-	They are BLAMING ME. CLAIMING IT’S MY FAULT AND DECISION THAT I STAYED! Outrageous!!  I did not had enough time to organize other place for myself, at 6 PM with baggage in foreign country. They didn’t informed me, it was me who asked about confirmation (and as a response, they lied about the apartment).
-	Place was very OLD, SMELLY and DIRTY, with many SPIDERWEBS, shower full of MOLD, MOLDED walls, DIRTY SHEETS  and couch, old DIRTY SOCKS around the place. Not mentioning loud noises of owner’s party (it was someone’s private home!) which took place till 1:30 AM.
-	Shady reason they gave was flood in Pro Patria apartment, which did not seem realistic - based on the opinions on Booking.com portal, rapid changes like this happened before to other guests and they are always using the “flood” argument (they have other, more expensive reservations from other guests) so obviously another LIE

I stayed for two nights at the apartment. The room was clean and comfortable and has A/C which is needed in August in Split. The owner is very friendly and gave me a shot of a local spirit from his home country, Bosnia, when I was picking up the key. There is a well-equipped kitchen on the ground floor when you enter the apartment which I did not use except for water. It is on a very accessible street, very close to the main promenade. The neighborhood is a great place for a base for exploring Split with lots of cafés and restaurants nearby.

Great apartment in Split

The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, which meant traveling alone was even easier. They were there when you needed them and we're incredibly lovely and inviting. 

The room was spacious, clean and airy and there was plenty of space to keep clothes and luggage etc. The shared spaces were kept clean, including the shared kitchen which was cleaned every day by the hosts. 

Extra blankets were kept in the room for cold weather and there was Aircon if it was too hot (which is was!!) 

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Villa Pro Patria and would recommend it to anyone traveling to Split.

Wonderful hosts and lovely apartment!

A quaint family owned villa close to the port and the centre of Split. The gentleman and his family were helpful and friendly.  The room was clean and comfortable with a combined kitchen and dining area.  But unbeknown to us we were not alone.  The villa has 4 levels and 3 of the levels has a room with its own bathroom.  Whilst we did not see the other guests too often you would need to be aware of noise and there are no locks on the doors.  If staying here you would need to be comfortable with that.  Also there are stairs to get up to each level so not an easy task if you have bulky luggage.

I have stayed to this apartment for three nights!

pros:
-very good location
-my room was big enough with separate bathroom
-the owner was friendly even if he could not speak English
-high speed wifi
-even if I had to pay by cash the owner accepted to pay with my credit card

cons:
-an improvement should be made to the towels and toiletries stuff

I think I would stay again to this apartment!

Good apartment!

My friend and I stayed for 3 nights at the apartment which is about a half a block from where you meet the owners/managers.  It is on a very accessible street, very close to the main promenade.  The neighborhood is a great place for a base to see the Split attractions and by just continuing up the street you enter a park with a great overview of the city.

The actual apartment is rather spartan, but served its purpose.  It is by no means glamorous, but is functional.  The two biggest complaints we had were no television service for the entire 3 days and very spotty, inconsistent internet/wifi.

The owner, Drago was a treat to visit with though his limited English and our almost non existent Croatian made it challenging.  He did offer us a "home brew" wine which was very hospitable of him.

If you go with no expectations, the place is adequate.

As you enter the building there is a shared area with a sofa bed, a table, a refrigerator and a modern kitchen. Each floor has its own private room with bathroom (outside the room). The room is simple but clean, however, and there is everything you need. The owners are super kind and cozy and will give you all the tips and suggestions for a pleasant stay.

The owners are super kind and welcoming and will give you any advice and suggestion for a pleasant stay. 

I stayed one night at the property, and I certainly recommend it for its location (River reachable on foot in 2 minutes), cleanliness, comfort and quality/price ratio.

Very well placed, comfortable and large and clean beds. It is not cheap for Croatian standards and the bathroom is outside the room. Sometimes there is a bit of noise from the street, but it wasn't a problem. Overall the experience was great. I highly recommend this place if you have a few days to spend in Split! Many restaurants and bars are only a minute away.
