Located at the top of a hill just above Budva, this place offers a wonderful view on the sea. Clean and comfortable rooms, well furnished. The owner is very nice and keen on making the best experience for her guests. The road to reach the property is a bit steep and winding, but when you are at the top, there is a comfortable private parking. Drive slowly! Good to stay a bit far from the noisy and sleepless Budva. Recommended for families with kids.

Very nice apartment!

We had great difficulty in locating this accomodation so rang the number given and a lovely young girl met us and led us to the apartment.  The journey was literally like climbing a mountain.  The views were stunning but so were the feelings of vertigo it was so high. There was also a very large construction site right across from the apartments. We felt it would be impossible to walk up and down from here to the old town so we asked if we could cancel and were told that it wasn't a problem.  We were disgusted to find that we were then charged a 30% cancellation fee behind our backs. Shame on the owners.  

Too far, too high and beside a building site

I stayed in no. 33 with 2 friends in August this year and it was lovely.  The flats are clean, roomy and very comfortable.  The kitchen is kitted out with all you need to put together a simple meal (which we did), and the balcony offers spectacular views of Mogren beach and the sea.

Bathroom: very clean and lovely new fittings.  Towels are provided and there was even shampoo and ody wash left out for us -- a very nice touch.

Location: it's a bit of a way from Budva Old Town, and up a very steep hill, so you pretty much have to catch a taxi to get home (it's easy enough to walk down).  A taxi from Old Town costs about 3-4 euros, so it's pretty reaosnable.

The best part about the location is that one is removed from central Budva, which I found to be pretty awful.  It's insanely busy, the beaches are packed, music pumps from every corner and there's a lot of litter.  So these apartments remove you from te hubbub and give you a base from which to explore the non-central area (such as day trips to Croatia/Bosnia/Kotor/Sveti Stefan).  And the most excellent part?  Soundproofing.  The music from Budva town pumps up the mountain and echoes around the bay.  But unless you open all your windows you'll hear nary a whisper in Villa Spas.

Lovely apartment, stunning view

Villa Spas offers large, clean and fully equipped flats a few hundred metres outside Budva's Old Town. Our living room came with sofas, telly, air-conditioning and a kitchen corner. The bedroom had a large double bed. Flats to the south have a terrace and good views over Mogren beach. The views have only been mildly spoiled by the construction of a flat building a little further down. The main road to Kotor can be heard from outside, but never bothered us. The rooms and furnishing were spotlessly clean and still fairly new. The flat and its terrace are big and nice enough to hang around for a day if you don't feel like the beach or the town. 

The only downside may be the steep climb from the town and the beaches to the villa. The way is completely 'walkable' (if reasonably fit) and the owner can show you the quickest way down, making use of some hidden stairs. It will take about 15 min. up from the old town. Still, you probably won't just drop back in once at the beach, so make sure to take your towel. A taxi ride, by the way, will set you back about 5 EUR to the bus station and about 3 EUR to the old town (prices are from August 2012!). 

The staff consists of the owner and a cleaner, both absolutely lovely people. The owner speaks fluently English and German.
