Checked in at about midinight, was not shown to the room and had to guess. The room was full, with only one bed left available which hadn't had the sheets changed. I was the only female, everyone else in the room were about 30 years of age, male , drunk, and made me feel very uncomfortable.  
The windows were wide open as no air con but the hotel is on the main party strip so was extremely loud. The door was also open letting all the hallway light in, so near enough impossible sleeping conditions. I could feel the base from the surrounding music, and the bed was so creaky it practically swayed. 
I wasn't given a locker key so I had to go back down 5 flights of stairs to ask for one then back up at around 12:30/1am. I asked for a different room, the man at reception said it was fully booked, I asked for the sheets to be changed which they reluctantly did. I could not sleep as the other guests were hovering around my bed so I packed my things and left around 2am to find another hostel.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC, DO NOT STAY HERE

It is a value hostel with cheap price anf centrally located. So convenient for your stay with shops, bars, restaurants, booking offices nearby. Only a isue with us that we booked via booking.com for our 2 nights here and confirmed. When we arrived they said they fully booked the 1st night and moved us to other with a bit higher standard and they pay for the difference. Everything was ok until we checked out as staff wanted to charge us for the difference of 1st night room. After we aked to call manager, then it sorted. But exchange rate was not right then. They charged us 23.500vnd for 1usd. Not a nice experience!

Get what you pay

This hostel is the worst place we've lived in Asia in the last 5 years of traveling, but we've been very worried about the staircase. It's like the hotel hasn't been renovated since the end of the Vietnam War. We're not very nice to this 1 or 2 nights of transit accommodation, we've been living in 8-12$ rooms a lot in Vietnam, Laos, Thailand and Cambodia, but the staircase looks really bothered us.

I would never recommend anyone to stay here.

Stayed here for a week or so, had no reasion to leave. Staff spoke great english and helped arrange good cheap tours. The room was clean and bug free, tv had english movies, staff very friendly and they are happy to secure your vaubles at front desk. 24 hour reception, in the heart of backpacker street 30second walk to buen vien street... i cant rate this place enough, the price is very very fair and the staff amazing... my home away from home ^_^. A+ 100% 

Great place, great staff

This was the best price hostel we could find in Ho chi minh city for a private room. When we first arrived in Ho chi minh we found a great shuttle bus for only 20,000VND from the airport to the closest bus stop in district 1 to the hostel which left only about a 5 min walk. We arrived a few hours early so we were unable to check in to our room but the staff was nice enough to hold our bags until the room was ready so we could walk around and grab some food. We walked back to the hostel a few hours later to check in to our room and we were asked if they could keep our passports until check out (we have never been asked that before) they were kind enough to let us pay upfront instead of leave our passports since we were not comfortable with that. We went up to our private room and were a little disappointed with the condition of the room. (The pictures make it look nicer than in person) There were small ants crawling around everywhere, we had issues with the ac and still could not get it to blow much out (the fan blew harder than the ac) But when you spend all day out in the hot Vietnam heat anything is better than nothing so we dealt with it and surprisingly slept very well both nights! The hostel is located right on the street so it can become quiet loud but your in the city so its to be expected. The shower the first day was warm but not much pressure, while the second day it was ice cold and even lower pressure. We ended up making our stay shorter and canceling our 3rd night. The location of this hostel is pretty perfect so all that we could find wrong was made right by the location, we were in walking distance to everything including a bus station right across the road.

Great Location but don't expect too much

$4 USD HOSTEL, If you negotiate you may get a better deal. Staff friendly and warm. In the midst of the city. Tourist friendly. 
In front of the hostel,there's the bus ticket counter for all the outstation buses to major city's. 

Nice

Here you have a good choice of excellent rooms, private till dorms, good advice of all kind of travels to anywhere down on the touyrdesk. The ladies what runs this are very helpful and warn you for every kind of danger in the city.

Straight in the city center near all you need.

The hotel is noisy, poorly insulated, roomy, the hotel staff does not deprive themselves to walk around your room when you are away, the laundry service is deplorable because clothes are lost because of their care, do not recommend.

No one.

I was with my husband in September 2 times on one night when we were going to Muay-Ne and back. The staff were friendly, even wanted to help lift the suitcase to the 5th floor))) The bed is dirty, but clean. The sanitation is dead, but it's still working.

It's a very noisy street

The location is ideal, very central...it's a little bit of street noise, but it's a detail when you arrive so tired. the staff is friendly, the rooms are a little small but in relation to the price are fine. the breakfast is not very good. I stayed at this hotel twice on this trip. the only thing I didn't like, was that the bed is very hard and my back resisted it...they could improve the quality of the mattress, sleep on a table is not very nice. it has a minibar, water heater, plank, teacup shampoo, and other bathroom supplies.
