We left 12K rupees at the bar for lunch, the next day they asked for 500 rupees for a plastic table with chairs in the sand. At the same time, there were 0 people who wanted to sit there from the hotel. It's aweful🤬 How can be so greedy misers!????

I didn't live in this hotel, ours was in the neighborhood, and almost every day we had lunch and dinner at this hotel restaurant.

It's a restaurant on the ocean.

We stayed three nights in this establishment in January 2023. We had a room with a beautiful sea view. The room is large, the bed is comfortable. A nice terrace allows you to relax while watching the waves dance but also the little squirrels running on the palm trees. The hotel is very beautiful, very nicely decorated, and scented at all times. The breakfast is good, it consists of grilled Sri Lankan brooches, belette, coffee jam where there is tea and fresh fruit juice, there are also omelets for those who want it. The staff is friendly and discreet. The bémol is the bathroom that needs to be refurbished because we really recommend this establishment.

It's a beautiful view.

Nice staff, awful drinks. Ordered a white wine which tasted like it had been watered down and a mojito that taste more of sprite. Not sure there was even any rum in it. Such a shame as it’s a nice quiet part of the beach. It’s really not hard to offer a decent white wine or make a decent mojito.

Disappointing

we stayed more than 7 days 
hotel is clean nice but noisy  stuff ..morning talking infront of your open window..no chance to sleep after 7a.m..rooms had one of the most uncomfortable beds we ever sleep..after 2 days you feel your back painfully..no mosquito net.. in the day and night there is loud music in the restaurant..outside people coming for food and drinks..there no limits about the noise even afternoon if you want to relax Bob Marley is always singing
Breakfast all the time same..eggs..and toast
often  no electricity..someday 5.6 hours no way to charge your comp.or phone..generator working only after dark ..food in the rest is quite expensive for the quantity and quality they provide..only the good think is been on the beach..but you can find much better places ..i am sorry i been there but on arrival you have to pay full amount 

Noisy..and uncomfortable 

It was incredible! ❤️🏖We had a room overlooking the sea.  🌴The rooms are decorated austerely.  No great luxury but sufficient.  Tehere is a safe in the room.  They changed our towels every day.  I would like to thank Andrew and his whole family very much for taking great care of us.  We felt at home with you.  The service from the staff was amazing.  the boys were very nice, always a smile on their lips, they brought us a beer to the beach.  Breakfest great, food too.  We appreciated the peace and the beach, which we only had for ourselves.  amazing place.  Beach was clean and nobody was there, only few people! Really paradise. we are glad that there are still places in the world where people are nice to each other.  Thank you so much and I recommend to everyone! And i must recommend also that Andrew help with with everything you want- trips, transfer, recommend rent a motorbike, everything. Take care and hope see you in future again! ❤️🏝🌊

Incredible and amazing place❤️🏝🌴

I spent 2 nights in Qst hotel, clean room with mosquito net and ceiling fan, hotel highlight the beach and restaurant, great food and very nice staff, the only problem is the WiFi, it doesn't work well and they turn it off at 11:00, total relaxation, in paradise.

In heaven

The idea, as seen in the photos, was to stay here for 4 days. Finally, we only had the time it took to find another accommodation, 1 single day. The details were decisive. WiFi almost non-existent, poor quality connection and restricted to 8 to 23 hours. Very rare breakfast, 4 toasts for 2, butter and jam 1 mini pack per person, cut fruit 2 slices of mango 1 banana and 2 slices of pineapple per person, coffee and milk. The regular room, the air conditioner only when turned on or off, you can't get the temperature and the noise is quite high. Water quality in the shower doesn't work. In the end, I think it's a vulgar hotel and its price is adequate for 2000 rupees per person, with more than one banana, and 2 quarters of pineapple slices per person, but we probably shouldn't be able to pay for that.

Attention to detail.

Just got back, after 4 weeks, we had a great holiday, Ananda and all his staff were great, food excellent, fab beach, beautiful area
What more do you want for 40 bucks a night including breakfast again basic, fruit, toast, eggs, all you have to ask if you want more.
Rooms are good, some would say basic, but rustic would be a good discription,some with Aircon and some with fans, 
You want to chill, this is the place to go.👍👍👍👍👍



Great holiday

Prior to making reservations for a 10 night stay in one of the so called deluxe rooms of this property we were fascinated by the many  favorable recommendations of this place. Yes, the property is located right on a sandy wide open beach and you have a wonderful view from your first floor balcony. The hotel, in our opinion it meets the criteria of a typical Sri Lankan guesthouse rather than a hotel, is located 15 minutes from Hikkaduwa by tuk tuk. The rooms including the so called first floor deluxe rooms are extremely small and offer little space to store your belongings. By deluxe the owner probably meant the air condition and the balcony which differentiates the first floor rooms from the very basic ground floor rooms.
The only tv is in the reception area and will appeal to cricket lovers, about the only program which was on most of the time. The free WiF worked best in the morning but was very slow and limited to the day time hours between 9 am to about 10 pm. The free breakfast which was  was served after 8 am  included the same every day: tea or coffee, eggs, toast, jelly and butter and the choice of fruit plate or juice. The restaurant was closed most evenings but featured excellent soups. 
Based on our experience this hotel may be ok for backpackers and short one or two day stays but is certainly not fit for a beach vacation.
