SD David Hotel 

I traveled alone and arrived in Yerevan by minibus from Tbilisi. 4 PM and no advance reservations, Travel advisor led me to the SD hotel near the station. I entered a plush and impressive lobby and was greeted by a cheerful receptionist. She informed me that the the only room left was the De Lux room and was only available the one night. She quoted a rate of 20,000 Dram and I asked her to please let me know if there might be any cancelations for the following nights. Sadly there were none as I was shown an extremely spacious and clean Room with a double bed and an additional single in the sitting room of the suite. Two televisions, two bathrooms and two Air conditioner units made me regret I traveled alone as this room was made for a family. My basic requirements were all there, HOT shower, wifi and breakfast. A minor inconvenience for me was there is no minibar. A nearby rotisserie chicken joint with soft drinks and water for sale. made up for this The hotel has no lift and the top is four flights up. The metro station to city center is a short walk. I recommend advance booking as the next few nights were spent in the city center, equally pleasant but nearly twice the price.
