I was a guest at the hotel. The first disappointment was the SPA area. The pool was not in operation due to technical problems, the sauna was closed without rest area and from 6:00 p.m. onwards. I had a double room that was spacious, unfortunately quite inhabited, such as stained carpet floor, in the bathroom the shower was only possible in the bathroom with a cushion. The room was on the side of the street and was quiet. The hotel is located on a sidewalk with heating, depending on the orientation of the room. The kitchen was partly ok and partly simply unpleasant, especially in the evening, cold salads, ham cheese toast, no egg yolk without a large green curtain. There was actually a positive positive aspect to the hotel.

Not really four stars.

The room was comfortable, clean and very spacious. Since the room was on the street side, it was not as quiet and quiet as you would expect from such a small place. The hotel is right next to a country road. The mattresses were excellent, the food was not outstanding, it is improving. The dishes in the evening are more than sparse (see photo), little seasoned, nothing for a chef. The spa area is nice. The staff were very hospitable and very friendly. I visited my husband for a week, who had a bad week at the Leonardo Hotel. I got a worse overall rating because of the short kitchen. Since the hotel is aimed at guests, I advise everyone to spend a holiday in this hotel.

Rooms are clean, but only a few rooms are quiet, many are noisy on a busy street. Cake is ok but only for very limited meal times. Staff is a disaster: reception staff are unfriendly, the wait staff is constantly practicing in Hiding games hopefully no guest will find me. There are no active questions from staff to the guest. You have to look for a waiter and ask for service... this can't be a four-star level.

Far away from four stars

Unfortunately, this hotel is de facto only worth 3* and is also not really recommended as a spa hotel. Although it has all the characteristics required for the star category, but in a smaller version. The mattress was soft and/or flat, so for back problems rather counterproductive. The meals were at best average, flavorful fad, no (high) quality oils to the salad etc., for breakfast can only coffee, tea to order extra. The room was generous. But since the hotel is often located on a busy street (including busy weekdays), we had additional lighting in the room through the first glazed checker.

Large distance to real 4*

The Leonardo Hotel is not only recommended for cures ordered by the health insurance company, but also for private stays if you are looking for tranquility and seclusion. The rooms are spacious and beautiful, the entire staff is very nice. The food is varied (every day at noon and evening 3 menus to choose from) and is also suitable for relaxation. Besides the house located on the edge of the forest there is a circle and a Celtic tree circle, the interior of the house has been designed Feng Shui. The surroundings invite short or longer walks and bike tours, the nearest town is about 4 km away, with small bathrooms also located in the vicinity.

Good for body and soul

I also spent a 3-week stay at the Hotel Leonardo. The Leonardo is also located on a hill just outside the village of Nondorf in an environment that provides a relaxing environment. The next largest city is Gmünd, about 5 km north. From the outside the hotel looks almost like a modern lounge with towers. Parking spaces are also available. Hotel of a special kind

Everything in the hotel is very friendly, at the reception, the staff in the breakfast room, even the guests are friendly. Everything in the hotel has its pleasant and quiet passage. You feel comfortable. There are a few small things that have been noticed when cleaning the room, the shampoo sheets have not been brought in, and the towel hangings are wobbly. There are sticky pieces of hooks on the tiles everywhere. The breakfast was okay, the ham and eggs you can order are excellent, the rest of the sausage is unfortunately not of very good quality and the fruits are more than diluted. The rooms are very large and quiet.

A beautiful hotel with a very friendly staff

The hotel is very large, very clean and very friendly. However, for me as a business traveler, it was not what I had imagined. The hotel is designed for those who are looking for peace. The dining in the hotel is very tailored to the elderly audience. Only two warm meals to choose from in the evening, the restaurant closes at 21:00. The rooms are huge and very clean. The hotel is located a little outside of Gmünd. Quiet location, elevator and free Wi-Fi. As the name suggests, it is a spa hotel, mainly older audience.
