I booked in advance over the phone since they don't have a website. Luckily, I asked for a confirmation email. When we arrived, they had my email address on the books but not an actual reservation; the young man was able to look up the email exchange and confirm my reservation. The first room we were given had a layout that didn't work for us. The young man gave me another room to look at, which we took, and he didn't charge me the higher price for the new room. It was not large, but it had excellent AC and one of the best bathroom hairdryer nightlights that I've ever seen (the brightness could even be adjusted). We ate dinner in the restaurant, and the Chinese food was very good.

Decent place to stay

Comfortable room for a great price $. We had the family room with bunk beds which thrilled our daughter. Clean, plenty of hot water for showers, WIFI. Allowed us to visit Horstings and Hat Creek Ranch the next day at leisure. Would stay here again.

Great price, comfortable room

I regularly stay here when heading to or from Vancouver. Rooms are always clean, tidy and comfortable. $15 charge for a pet. Staff are always friendly. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area.

Always a great stay

We stayed here while playing in a SloPitch tournament in Ashcroft, which was just a few minutes drive away. We had thankfully gotten one of the jacuzzi rooms and I was beyond impressed with it. It was so helpful for our tired achy muscles. The log house feel is beautiful and the restaurant was delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful if we needed anything. The bed and pillows were comfortable which is usually the most important thing with anywhere I stay.
Can not wait to come back in a few weeks!

Great spot!

Super clean and nice. Smelled fresh. Just passing through town and stayed one night. It was clean and quiet. Zero issues. Def would stay again. Got in late and they had it all planned ahead for us. Good AC and shower 

I’m a clean freak

I was travelling alone and had never stayed in Cache Creek before. I had an unsafe encounter at a nearby hotel and left right away and found the Bear’s Claw lodge. The nice lady at the front assured me I would be safe and set me up with a room right away. She checked on me and as a woman travelling alone I appreciated it so much. The rooms are clean and comfortable and I would definitely stay here again. Thank you for being so welcoming for such a last minute accommodation request :) 

Safe and clean place to stay

This is a very nice log motel with 15 ground floor units and a restaurant.
Units are cozy and provide a great place to sleep.Set back from the road so there is some traffic noise.
Decor is rustic and fitting with the log theme.
We really liked the display of wildlife up on the mezzanine in the lobby

Nice log motel

We arrived only a week after evacuations in the area due to flooding so were grateful it was open. Guy on reception was a bit unsure of how things worked and we had to get past a locked front door to gain entry. The Lodge is styled like a big log cabin and has a Chinese restaurant on site which was closed for the day. Room size OK and clean with the usual Fridge, Microwave, T.V, Bath/Shower, but Breakfast is not included. Wi-Fi a bit hit and miss but that was probably down to the recovery going on from the flooding. Nice place for a night or two to explore the area.

Good accommodation at Cache Creek 

We were glad we chose the Bear's Claw to stay at on our way home from Prince George to Victoria. My husband went to check in and came out with two complimentary bags of breakfast snacks for the next morning.  We ended up enjoying them on the ferry ride.  The restaurant was currently open between 6 and 8, serving only Chinese food which was not a problem at all.  We each had a combo dinner which was fresh and hot.  We got home a few hours ago and we had enough leftovers for dinner, which was great after a long day of travel.
The room was clean, the air conditioner/heating system worked fine and the beds were comfortable.
I would definitely recommend the Lodge!

Short and sweet stay.

Love the log cabin appearance of the building! We had a nice quiet room near the back of the property.  A great place to stay and surprisingly inexpensive.  Despite the Covid times, we really appreciated the staff going out of their way to cook and serve us a meal even though the dining room was officially closed.  Thanks again for a great stay!
