The room wasn't the cleanest. I found an old cigarette butt under a table. The floors also just felt dirty to walk on. However, it is pet friendly and they do not charge extra for that. It is also nice to be in walking distance of some restaurants.

Okay option (especially if you're looking for pet friendly)

Overpriced and since taken over by Wyndham. We arrived on a cold night in Jan 2023 . A few cars in parking lot and they wanted 140.00 for a room. Give me a break. Not worth it so we went elsewhere. Motel 6used to be a reasonable place to stay. You just lost a customer

Overpriced and few people there

motel is clean and odor free, room is ok, bed comfortable, staff was polite, breakfast was good. nice variety for a motel chain. shower had plenty of hot water and was tall enough i could stand under it, but the stream was kinda weak. My biggest complaint was the idiotic way they wire the room. the main switch at the door will shut off all the lights in the room which is good, but it also shuts off the bathroom light as well. the bathroom has it's own switch. got up to use the Br in the middle of the night switch did NOTHING... had to go to the door and turn on the main switch which turned on all the lights. lucky my partner didnt wake up. she had on a mask.... but BEWARE..... i  wasnt expecting this and this could be a bummer  for others to have all the lights go on in the middle of the night. the place is pet friendly... could hear barking dogs. at night. so be aware of that too if you are NOT a pet traveller

ok for one night

We (my husband & I) were on our way back from Montreal (business trip).
Trip was Alberta to Montreal & back.
We had been on a business/family trip to Toronto just two weeks previously.

After spending our money on completely OVER PRICED
 Best Western/Hampton Inn hotels for most of both trips, I was ready to sleep in our truck instead of another one for our last hotel stay!

We didn’t use pools/fitness rooms/laundry facilities , yet were paying ridiculous prices for those “amenities”!

Not to mention that the Hampton Inn DOES NOT INCLUDE ANY BREAKFAST for $200+!

We had stayed at the “CANAD INNS” in Brandon, MB on our way East for the first stop on our first trip, with our children.
THAT was such a horrible experience, so much so that after bringing our experience /events to management,  they refunded our hotel charge!

SO, when I reluctantly looked for a hotel on the last stop of our second trip, (14 hours per day of driving each way for 6-8 days),
even though I was seriously considering sleeping in our truck to avoid yet another high priced hotel stay,
I FOUND THIS “MOTEL 6” in Brandon, MB!

From the wonderful GREETING by both front desk (male) attendants, to the bowl of fresh fruit offered at front desk at check in/check out, to the AMAZING/CLEAN/SPACIOUS HOTEL ROOM, to the SOFT/FLUFFY/XTRA LARGE BATH TOWELS, to the FREE, WELL STOCKED BREAKFAST, to the SUPER LARGE PARKING LOT both for domestic & large commercial trucks  (which we had one of each),

I ONLY WISH I HAD FOUND THIS HOTEL AT THE BEGINNING OF OUR FIRST TRIP!

When I called to inquire for a room (we couldn’t pre-book on our way back as the condition of the commercial truck we purchased was unsure), the front desk stated they were out of rooms with one king/queen bed, so he could offer Us a room with TWO Queen beds for same price!
SOLD!

We had been paying $150-200-+ for 13 (2 separate trips) of our previous hotel room stays!

MOTEL 6 came to $115 all in!

I am so in regret for having not found MOTEL 6 to have been able to (when applicable) stay at this hotel (it’s a hotel, not motel as in name), for most of our stays!

THANK YOU to the GM of this hotel (whom I believe was the one who checked Us in, as we came in just before 10pm & he was there the next morning again at our checkout!)!
You & your other front desk staff, both at check in & check out,  made Us feel WELCOME whereas many of the front desk staff at many of our previous hotel stays (for $150-200+?) DID NOT DO SO!

I have since told family members of mine in Manitoba about this hotel & asked them to spread the word about this wonderful MOTEL 6!
(If they don’t require many amenities for a stay)!

We travel to MB to visit family members (not as much as we should), & we will be sure to ONLY be staying at this MOTEL 6 in Brandon, MB, when we require!

AMAZING, CLEAN HOTEL/ROOMS, INCLUDING BREAKFAST, FOR LOW PRICE!!

Absolutely nothing but positive reviews for this place. Clean, modern and great staff. Linens and towels were fresh. Everything was in working order. Bathroom was so clean. Definitely a place I'd stay again without hesitation. 

Phenomenal 

We stayed the night and found the motel to be extremely clean. It was comfortable and welcomed pets. We also had a breakfast which was included.
This was an economical place to stay and we’d stay again in the future.

Very clean, excellent sleep!

We stayed for the night driving through from Calgary. The reception was outstanding. The room was modest but spotless. And extra precautions were take to ensure health safety re. limiting the spread of the Covid-19 virus. Staff was exceptionally helpful at breakfast, offering their complete complimentary menu (including egg wraps, waffles, muffins  bagels etc.) which they served to limit food handling and circulation of patrons in the dining area. The coffee was also delicious!

Absolutely excellent!

Check in started with a less than and friendly and seemly inconvenienced clerk. Then we arrived in our room to find the grimy tub and damaged wall, as well peeling and rough floor.  I have stayed in other Motel 6’s that were much nicer than this.  

Would not recommend. 

Less than impressed 

Got a $39 for $100. Excellent front end staff. No carpet. Not mats - keep your shoes on. The fridge had the last persons food in it so the cleaners never even looked in it. The sheets and towels seemed clean. The bathroom sink was clogged. The sink plumbing was duct taped. No slip mat in shower. Someone else's hair in tub. No soap or shampoo (used my own). Male staff stood outside guest windows talking loudly and smoking at 3am. People talking in the hall at 2am. You had to request a receipt. No signage warning of other guest's pets. Dogs defacating outside on the lawn below my suite window (open). Dogs barking in the hallway at 6am. Yikes!

very low expectation seekers

First, we are easy to please, very used to minimalism, not negative people and don't like to give bad reviews. But, this was not a good experience. 
We stayed here with our dogs for one night after a long day of driving and in need of some sleep. We weren't made to feel welcome on check in, the person did his job but was not friendly. 
The room has no carpet, no mats, nothing to deaden sound, everything seems louder, every movement and voice echoes. It feels very cold. The furniture is modern on the extreme side and completely uncomfortable, the table is pretty much unusable for two people to sit at comfortably because of it's shape. There's a fridge that doesn't fit on the shelf so when you open the door the whole fridge moves off the shelf. There's a microwave but we didn't use it. 
They have laundry facilities - which are old and the dryer only halfway dried the clothes, which was a normal load size, after spending $2 on it, so we had to hang our jeans and some shirts up in the room to finish drying overnight because the guest laundry closes at 10 pm. Met a guy there who is working on the hydro issues here after a big storm came through about a week ago, and with no prompting from me he said his room wasn't clean - and no soap or shampoo in washroom. 
There were drips on the bathroom floor from our dog drinking and I took a towel to wipe it up and it came up filthy. So we made sure not to take our shoes off at all. Other than that the room seems clean. 
We went to bed just after 10 pm, and were lucky to get about 4 hours sleep. You can hear a lot of movement, water running, stomping, talking, televisions... people walking and laughing in the hall at 2:30 in the morning, which is of course not the hotel's fault, but they sounded like they were practically standing beside the bed, there's definitely a sound issue. After a terrible sleep on the worst lumpy cheap feeling pillows ever and insufficient blankets, we were up at 5 am because of the stomping around of people getting ready in the building. We woke up to our hotel room receipt under the door - no welcome but thanks for letting us take your money. 
There's no coffee in the room - for $136 including tax please supply some coffee in room and don't say you can get it in the lobby, because just after 6 am the breakfast area looked ransacked and no one was there maintaining it. The lids for the coffee cups didn't fit. The new person at the desk doesn't say good morning or look welcoming either. 
Overall, this hotel should be way cheaper for what you get - and they need to work on customer service as well as amenities. If we had paid $79 for the night and not $119 before taxes I would have felt better about it, although still not happy.
Would we stay here again? Absolutely not.
