Great place to stay and chill! Very friendly stuff, they will tell you all the nice places to go and see :) even if you don’t feel like going out - you’ll have fun inside!) such cozy atmosphere :)) doooo recommend!

Friendliest stuff! 

We booked a common 6-bed dorm for 4 nights. 
HOSTEL AND DORMS
The hostel is easy to find, though it is located in a living building. It has two sections - one with a reception and private rooms and the other with dorms (you need to cross a yard inside of the building to get to the other section). We lived in the section with dorms and it was very quiet there - windows face the small yard, we didn't hear cries from the nearest bars. Portable light and receptacles were next to every bunk. Living areas were clean, but it was a lack of coziness, probably because the building is very old.
KITCHEN
Every section has a kitchen. Ours was extremely small with no windows and fresh air at all. There was no cutlery, wet plates lie just right on the table, so the state air was very damp. Also, there is no dinner table, but only deep sofas and a low coffee table.
ALL IN ALL.
We have a sound sleep at night. But all the impression was spoiled by the kitchen, we proffered to eat outside.

Good for a short stay, thought a little in a mess

You should remember that there is no lift in this old building and hostel is located on 4th floor. Well in my country it is actually 5th floor. 

 - Wifi is included.
 - Breakfast isn’t included.
 - You might be able to find coffee/tea in the kitchen but I didn’t find plenty. I suggest you not to expect too much when it comes to complimentary drink.
 - ​You can use fridge in the kitchen to store your food​.
 - There is washing machine (not free to use)

Reception isn’t open 24hrs. I had to do self check in as I arrived quite late but all went well. 
The door on street is red ​c​olor and sign of “Kohver” is way tiny on the door. You can’t spot it easily. Instead, you will find “​H​ostel ​O​ne” ​on the red door ​as of July 2018.  That’s is the door of Kohver hostel. 

Taxi can’t pull over right in front of this hostel but you won’t be lost wherever cabbie drops you off. 

Unfortunately not many places are open from 7:00 a.m. If you want to grab breakfast from 7:00 nearby, here is the list;
 - Rimi (supermarket- bakery and coffee available to go)
 - McDonald’s

​ - Spring Coffee​
 - Restaurant Kuldse Notsu Kõrts

To get to Rimi supermarket​ from hostel​, turn left when you leave hostel. Walk along Sauna street. When you come to the end of Sauna street, you will see Rimi in front. It is very convenient to have supermarket nearby. They have deli as well. 

Sauna street is filled with bar and restaurant but I wasn’t be bothered by noise. 

This building is very old (antique). I love the atmosphere but ​at least ​bathrooms ​should​ be improved​​.

Room is quite simple. I stayed in 4-dorm (mix). Bed, Chair, Mirror and side table. No safe in the dorm. ​

No lift - 4th floor

The location of this hostel is just great, staff is quite friendly and the price is kind of reasonable — that is it for advantages.
   Now about why you should think twice if considering staying there: the place is old(in a bad way) and filthy. 
   The private room I had and the common spaces were just dirty. Bed linen was awful and pillows themselves had yellowish stains. 
   As it has been said in the title, next time I will definitely stay somewhere else.

Will not go there again

Kohver might seem like a great place: it's cheap and close to the center. Please don't go here, it's not worth it. Everything in the hostel is dated and filthy: beds that date back to grandma's time, showers that are yellow with dirt. 

The other big down side is the lack of professionalism from the staff. They failed to mention we had to switch rooms during our stay, so when we got back from a day trip we found a note on our door and all our clothes missing. The dude at reception first blamed it on us, later he blamed it on the booking website. He lied about trying to contact us to mention it (no missed calls) and didn't apologise once. Our new room was damp: there was one tiny window which couldn't be opened. It was next to the common room, so we either had to sleep in a sauna or keep the door open and hear all the noise. 

To top it off, while moving our stuff, the staff threw away our soda bottles and the guy at reception only gave our deposit back when we asked for it. Save yourself the trouble and go to another hostel.

Horrible and filthy

We paid 53 euros for th tiny dirty room, which urgently needs renovation, there was a tiny window which was not possible to open! So the air ended like in 10 minutes, so we had to sleep with wide open door, but the room was next to a lounge, so it felt extremely uncomfortable! 
Staff is friendly though, but not really helpful. Shared facilities are in a horrible condition, room should cost 5 euros maximum there, really not 53 for that!

Doesn't worth the money they ask

Me and my friend booked the room in Kohver Hostel via booking.com and to be honest, it really doesn't fit the description and the photos. The room was in a different house than the reception desk. It was small and really dirty, I don't think they clean it regularly. There was some unknown liquid on the floor and no possibility to open the window in our room. There were also the doors to some messy storage space with broken and useless things. Our room was placed right next to the common area/lounge. When we arrived late at night (after the midnight), we had to walk through the lounge which was full of drinking young men. We locked our doors, but men were very loud and drunk so we did not feel very safe there as two women. That’s why we decided to call the manager of the hostel to solve this situation for us. The guy from the reception desk came upstairs in 3 minutes and sent those drinking guys away. We asked for another room, but he said that the hostel is fully booked. After some discussion he finally managed to find another place for us. We moved in a different hostel where we were safe and which was even more clear and nice. Unfortunately, we were so stressed that we did not take any photos of the first room.
