9 reviewsWhen we first arrived at the property we were initially a little disappointed as the building looked very dilapidated and there was scaffolding around the side of the house. Having just arrived from a luxury hotel in Biarritz we wondered what the second part of our vacation would be like. However, once inside and also in the garden it becomes apparent that this home is a wonderful oasis of calm. Our room was really a suite, it had a very spacious bedroom and an adjoining bathroom with beautiful large bath and double sinks and also an adjoining shower room. The garden is large with seating to picnic or to just relax. Tatiana and Olivier are very good hosts. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh. Tatiana even served home made cake one morning, which was delicious. One of the things I would explain about Castillon en Couserans is that it is quite remote and there is only one bar in the village serving drinks and paninis so if you want to eat out on an evening this is not the place to be. However, Tatiana did say that she could provide dinner if this was booked in advance. I think this is something I would take advantage of on another visit. As it happened we shopped at the local Carrefour and had a picnic in the garden. Tatiana helpfully provided us with plates and cutlery. Thank you for a lovely stay. If we are ever in the region again I would not hesitate to return.
