Very warm and friendly home. Affordable price for the dinner served, fresh produce, family food, balanced and generous. Very generous breakfast. Very cozy rooms, the renovation has not been refined but on the group, only one person regretted the lack of comfort of a large bed. On the floor, the shower is small, do not count on going into the micro room. In short, we eat well (very quiet), wash and sleep very well. Lovers of luxurious stops, go your way.

a one-night stand with friends

It was hot. We had cycled over 120km. We were welcomed warmly and with a beer! What a welcome! It's an interesting house full of charm and the warmth of the hosts is exuded throughout, as is the artistic talent of Jan. Three of us shared a room and all commented on how well we slept and how comfortable the beds were. Breakfast was fantastic, fresh and varied, the coffee excellent. To top this off one of my colleagues needed a shirt repaired, Jan offered to sew it for him and then offered to wash our cycling kit so it was fresh for the next day. It's a wonderful place to stay. Highly recommended.

Superb hospitality

We had a lovely en suite room with plenty of storage. Some rooms had facilities opposite the room. 12th century walls were thick and full of character. Comfortable bed and excellent breakfast. There was a sofa/tv area and use of kettle etc. Easy parking. Jan is a talented artist and her oil paintings are all around the quirky walls.

Warm welcome to an interesting home

This place is owned by an absolutely charming English couple. The rooms are very nice, the beds are comfortable. At breakfast, home jam (citron, pamplemouse) and many wineries. You can access the kitchenette, and also the terrace that overlooks a very nice garden. The guests are extremely helpful, an excellent address that makes you want to return! Thank you!

The perfect welcome.

This was our second (my fourth) time staying with this delightful couple. They make it not just a B&B - you feel like you are truly being welcomed as guests. Used it as a base for some local walking, visiting Mont St Michel and the Normandy beaches.

Great hospitality, great food, good base for exploring the region

A very warm welcome, quite decent services for a reasonable price, an address to record for your future visits to the area, only a little, neighbors in the upper room during our stay not really discreet and late-night...

Dinner, offered by the owner. Poor enough, even more. 25 euros per person: a scam for what was prepared and it must have cost 5 euros in total and 10 minutes of preparation. Breakfast: I ordered from the saline: I was served with slices of tasteless industrial cheese sold at the local supermarket and jambon reconstituted with shoulder slices... It's not fair for the passing tourist. Quite shameful. The bathroom is in poor condition, dirty, smelling moisture... spoiled because the place might be much better if it was clean, and at a price. How much better to avoid it because it's nearby and less expensive.

Promises on the site, but all false, expensive and mediocre.

My husband and I based ourselves out of Jan and Dave Tarbuck's beautiful 12th century B&B, while we visited Normandy.   Jan and Dave could give lessons on making people feel at home.  The facilities are comfortable, extremely attractive, with lots of privacy and space to unpack.  In addition to the delicious breakfasts, featuring a variety of fresh breads, cheeses, etc., we enjoyed two gourmet, four course dinners with LOTS of high quality wine, at a very reasonable price.   We enjoyed "happy hour" each evening on their deck, overlooking their large, tranquil garden.  The next time we visit the area, we will definitely seek to book accommodation at Le Mesnil de Creances again!

Exceptional hospitality!

A little gem in the countryside near Lessay.  Wonderful English hosts offering refreshment in the garden on arrival. The breakfast was lovely with fresh fruit  and an assortment of pastries. Our room in the 12th Century cottage was very pretty and had an en suite toilet and shower. We would definitely return.

A warm home from the owners, the charm of the home, a large tree-lined garden where we could let our dog bark, a generous breakfast, constant attention from the owner without being too present, a very good value for money, in short, everything was fine.
