The Ottus Ranch is the ideal place to relax from London's buzz. We flew in from Stansted on Friday afternoon and got there in just 15 minutes from the airport. The place is lovely and quiet and the Swiss couple who owns the place is very nice and helpful. We stayed in one of the three wooden cottages with a direct view on the pound where horses go for a drink once in a while! The cottages are large and very cosy, with a kitchen, two bedrooms and a large living space. From there, in addition to serious relaxing, we visited Oradour-sur-Glâne, a village that has been attacked during WW2 and left in ruins; a very emotional and instructional visit. We also spent an evening in Limoges and visited its beautiful old streets and Cathedral. I strongly recommend the place to anyone looking for a good mix of relaxing, walking, cultural visits and dining. One thing the owners could consider offering is a few bikes for rental and perhaps setup activities for children (e.g. feeding the horses, pony walk).
