I did not book this hotel with terribly high expectations and used Bonvoy points. I really just wanted a place to sleep that was in a safe area and convenient walk to different sites in the city. Our flight arrived from the US at 8AM. We booked a private transfer (totally unnecessary) and due to a marathon in the city, we had to walk a mile with our luggage and backpacks. We were pretty exhausted once we arrived at La Maison. Everyone was welcoming, especially Emalie, who went above and beyond to make our anniversary stay memorable. We ate at Frivola the first night and had a delicious meal. Breakfast was outstanding. We had the most delicious pastries that I have tasted in my entire 50 years. Make sure to try the round disks that have sharp edges like a tart with chocolate-they call them cookies but they are the most buttery amazing things I have ever tasted. From the front door to the room attendants, everyone in this hotel is lovely. Merci!!
