NH Paris Opéra Faubourg

I can say so many good things about this hotel. We stayed there week November 8-14, family of 6 (4 adults, 2 late teens), booking 3 Superior New Style rooms. 1) Location is perfect, <10min from Galeries Lafayette and Opera, <30min walk to Louvre, transportation around the corner, lots of cafes and restaurants in area. We loved Madonna (italian restaurant) for dinner, right across the street. 2) All people at reception were super friendly, helpful and cordial. Noting Fabian especially, he made check-in/check-out quick and easy, let us in early and helped with any question, request, taxi reservations, restaurants recommendations, etc. 3) The rooms are on a smaller size (although mine with balcony was more spacious than the others) but cozy, with very comfortable beds, and heavy curtains that were blocking light and noise at night. The cleaning ladies did a good job keeping rooms clean. The decor is beautiful and same can be said about lobby and even breakfast area. All our rooms had a wonderful view overlooking Rue La Fayette. 4) We had breakfast included and loved it. The same food served every day but variety and quality is excellent and can fit any taste. Personnel at breakfast area is also very nice and attentive. There was one thing that bothered me: my room with balcony (#215) was accumulating strange smell in bathroom, likely due to specific location in the building as the other two rooms (#308 and #311) didn't have that issue at all. Minor things: - The safe position is on top shelf in closet and for shorter person like me uncomfortable to reach, I had to stand on pouf every time I needed to use safe. - It would be helpful to have more hooks in room and in bathroom. The closet is small to fit all clothes especially if you travel in fall/winter and in bathroom 2 hooks are not enough to hang bathrobes and damp towels. But even with that minor critique, the overall impression was is great and hotel exceeded our expectations.
